It might be a better idea to do the arcade/1P mode a couple of times and get a feel for it up until the point where you think you have a decent idea behind the mechanics of the game.

Jotaro can stop time on command (22P is the command for it) for about 10 seconds in game with 1.5 bars in All Star Battle. So can DIO with the same command, 22P.
The same applies for the Heritage for the Future Capcom game for Jotaro and DIO. The input is different but iirc it takes 7 bars and it drains them crazy fasts, the more bars the more it lasts. The most it last is 20 seconds iirc.
