if you can knock out 10 wins before it starts you can use the 'Fleet Full Attack' to get 60 minutes of 50% bonus silver. That + the weekly 'per battle' VIP and the 'get 1 win in a DD for a day of VIP' leads to fine silver gains.

Its a different gamemode only aviable to tier 1,2 and 3 ships, you can earn XP on them only 5 matches a day, the rest have no rewards.

I remember this one time I was teamkilled by a salt Pacific fleet member within the first minute of the game. The entire team proceeded to shit on him and kill him almost instantly. I swear I screenshotted it. But I just searched all my screenshots and couldn't find. It was in broken english about me apparently being a good player and that he had fucked up. The Pacific fleet guy was named Chevy something if I remember correctly.

It might last for a long time past the point at which any sane person will drop it. Like Navyfield 2 did, it limped on for a year after nearly everybody left it for WoWS and those who didn't were so few the MM needed to compose rounds from tier IV to X. SO still has peak hours during which it is possible to get almost full house matches at the middle tiers, but outside those it's already 3v3 on tier V. I can't play during those peak hours (20-23 my eurofag time) so the game is as good as dead to me already.
