Wheraboos actually think Sealion could have worked

>we'll just put a bunch of soldiers on river barges that swamp if a destroyer passes nearby
>it'll take 30 hours to cross
>we don't have enough sailors so only every other barge will have somebody who knows about boats
>the Royal Navy? just tell the soldiers to shoot at any unidentified ships, that'll work
>shore defenses? enemy ships? the Luftwaffe will handle it!
>engineers from the noted nautical province of Bavaria in charge of building new barges
>4,000 horses landed in first wave, but no artillery for them to pull
>"They built rafts from pontoons, and were undismayed when half of these rafts sank while in harbour. Attempts to provide these rafts with power failed, because they broke up under the strain. Nonetheless, the Wehrmacht announced that these rafts would be towed behind the barges being towed by the tugs, and that the horses would thus be transported across the Channel on these rafts, saving the difficulties of loading the horses into the barges. One wonders what the horses would have made of this concept."
>9th army tasked with assaulting Napoleonic fortifications without artillery support, while the British have plenty of artillery
>paratroopers will be dropped into hills and hop fields (hops are grown using tall poles stuck in the ground to support them, Vlad Tepes in charge of airborne defenses), paratroopers will not be resupplied

pretty sure no one thinks sea lion would have worked

Let's compare the Mongol Invasion of Japan and the hypothetical Operation Sealion: which one would have worked better?

Bullshit, it works every time I do it in in HoI4, ofc it would work IRL.

this game is such a disappointment.

>Britbongs actually think operation market garden could have worked

I think that the German invading force would had to be mechanize in order to invade the UK

they could made it after winning the battle of england

also France would be a land aircraft carrier, stukas could destroy any fleet of the royal navy at the channel, but then again the same concept failed for Mussolini

I think all the alt right, wehraboos, whatnot have been banned at this point, for taking the "no racism on blue boards" seriously enough, or many they just got too triggered and left.

Either way, we win.

Who are "we"?

>they could made it after winning the battle of england

How would they do this, when the Brits are outbuilding the Germans in planes, and inflicting more losses than they're suffering?

>also France would be a land aircraft carrier,

One with sharply limited force projection. You can't get your fighters up north from France, not if you want them to get back home.

>stukas could destroy any fleet of the royal navy at the channel,

They had enough trouble sinking ships at Dunkirk, when the Brits were in broad daylight, with pretty much no friendly cover, standing still to load up troops. You really think they can sink a much bigger fleet, likely moving at night with their own fighter escort?

the jewish illuminati internet posting force. or possibly just everyone who's tired of hearing about them.

you know how "we" are, goy.

Another thing to point out is that in September of 1940, when it was planned to happen, the Germans only had limited numbers of the longer-ranged Bf 109 E-7, which had only been in production for a month at that time. Most of their fighters would have been either the earlier short-ranged models which were only able to go as far as London (meaning they only had a few minutes of combat time before they hit bingo fuel), or Bf 110s which had already been proven to be vulnerable to Hurricanes/Spitfires during the Battle of Britain.

Also the Germans (IIRC) didn't have a armor-piercing bomb for the Stuka or their other bombers, and the Ju 87B in service at the time was very limited in range when carrying the large 1000kg bombs the Germans had.

The eternal frog.

> You really think they can sink a much bigger fleet, likely moving at night with their own fighter escort?
And shooting back. That's an important part.

The mongols actually managed to land in spite of the weather. That's already far far better than the germs would have fared.

Could the British have landed on the continent without the USSR and the US doing all the work?

/pol/ here
i'm still here ;^)

They'll never get rid of us.

Yes. They would have been in Italy in 1943 on their own. They wouldn't have just been hammering at the Germans, but they'd be picking targets that the Germans couldn't supply as efficiently as they could.

Silly SJWs

/r9k/ and /k/ should be switched desu.

What would America be? Twitter?

maybe replace it with /lgbt/ as this place is full of anglo shills anyway

that funland tho.

Makes sense. A bastion of civilization now occupied by godless tumblrinas.

Love it. /g/ was at the pinnacle of shitposting alongside /sp/, and now they are literally /mlp/ tier.

>Could the British have landed on the continent without the USSR and the US doing all the work?

No, even if the Soviets were still in the fight (and they wouldn't be, without the U.S.) it would have been the Dieppe Raid v2.0

>/int/ on the same side as /pol/
Fuck off we hate you

>All those men that died because Churchill was a stubborn alcoholic

Was his life goal to kill as many British men as possible?

First time on another board here. Only been on /pol/
People actually dislike /pol/ ? What?

Very little history here, mainly cheisttards shitting everywhere. /pol/ is just a boogey man. Kinda like how Nazis blame Jews for everything.

Shit it's better than the Russians would have fared. Their plan for attacking Hokkaido was to just offload infantry from destroyers onto rowboats.

>HoI4

This is what hop fields look like btw. The hop plants are trained up ropes that hang from the horizontal ropes suspended between the poles. You can see a unharvested plant on the right side.

So basically they were going to drop paratroopers into fields full of telephone poles holding up what was effectively a giant net.

>this game is such a disappointment.

how come?

>implying bismarck wouldn't sink entire Royal Navy alone if it didn't have jewish Kriegsmarine commanding it

retarded OP is retarded.

May 1945 comes on November 8th this year
;^)

so basically your mission is to invade /b/ and reddit. incredible.

>displacement, armor and guns of a cruiser
>sunk by WWI biplanes
>"battleship"

Amusing chuckle, 10/10

Low quality bait.
the most the carrier aircraft did to Bismarck was to damage the rudder. Most of the torpedoes missed.

What? The Bismarck's biggest criticism is it was overdisplaced by far, had similar stats to a KGV class despite being almost 7,000 tons heavier.

And what cruisers have 15 inch guns and 12.6 inch armor belts?

To be fair, the damage of the rudder was crippling. The entire point of the Bismarck was that it was fast enough to outrun those QE class BB, who could match it in guns. Once it was slowed down from the rudder hits, it was only a matter of time before enough battleships came close enough to pound it into scrap.

Agreed, I'm glad us SJW brethren have finally secured a safe space away from people with different opinions.

Didn't the British and German high command get together in the 60s and had a chat and simulation and basically figured out that they could have landed and got so far but ultimately would have failed.

They would have had to do it Crete style, full airborne mass operation.

>Steel-bodied aircraft.
>"WWI Biplanes."

Holy shit go back to 10th grade.

Your point?

...

How would Alexander have conquered Britain if he were in Hitler's place?

I think it was the 70s not the 60s, and

A) They made an enormous number of favorable assumptions in the Wehrmacht's favor concerning things like Royal Navy reaction time, and the ability of the Kriegsmarine to actually deposit troops. They also cut down the RAF to what the Germans thought their strength would be rather than what it actually was.

B) They DID do a full airborne invasion in support of the beach landings.

It still collapsed within 72 hours.

Step 1: Shave off all his men's beards

Step 2: Knock out the fucking radar towers

I think you mean
>700hp class engines
>WW1 biplanes

1974 to be exact, of the 90k german troops landed in the wargame less than 15400 managed to make it back to france 33k captured 26k killed in fighting and 15k drowned in the barges sinking, and that was being kind
