Sony already tried that with Uncharted, and Killzone, and LittleBigPlanet, Wipeout, ModNation Racers, Lumines, Resistance, Tearaway, Unit 13, Gravity Rush, Escape Plan, etc. It didn't exactly work.

user, they aren't going to make western games for the system that aren't indies or mobile ports. Vita is already pretty old tech, the train for this to be mainstream has passed. I would even say that dedicated handhelds are starting to be done with altogether.

If you don't like Japanese games this system isn't really worth buying, in my opinion. I've enjoyed the system a lot and will continue to enjoy it since there's actually games coming that I'm interested in. But that's because my tastes are tilted to niche Japanese games, which really isn't mainstream at all.

The Vita is successful enough in the Eastern Asia region. Enthusiasts outside of that region learned how to read moon runes and find channels to import a long time ago. Japanese studios also prefer to develop for it.

A little extra revenue won't hurt, but it doesn't "need to be saved" the way Blackberry does. All they need to do to continue making money with the Vita is just maintain the status quo. Pretty sure their fans would be happy with that too.
