What strategies does Veeky Forums have for subverting the I.R.S.? With the I.R.S. being the biggest threat to prosperity, have you found a way to stop them?

Has anyone read How I Beat Satan... and The I.R.S. or related material? Did the author provide sound reasoning that would benefit the users of the information? Are income taxes really voluntary or is it just a scam?

I have this diabolical plot where I figure the cost of my taxes into the price of my product and then make my clients pay them.

then instead of seeing the IRS as some sort of evil taking 'MY' money, I see it as just another expense to be paid and I don't care what they do with that dosh.

mwuahahaha

That may work for you, but this is more for people that don't run their own companies.

Pay your share you fucking leech

Kek paying taxes, such a pleb thing to do

Too afraid of the I.R.S to keep the money you earn?

sure, but running your own company is the best way to deal with the IRS.

you wouldn't believe some of the stuff you're allowed to write off.

I know about that already, but I don't plan on starting my own company.

fair enough.

I'm holding my management retreat in the Caribbean this year. We'll be talking business. Might even write some of it off. Who knows?

That video is nonsense

If you don't pay the IRS you'll get an intent to levy letter eventually. After that they'll start wiping out bank accounts, seizing homes and garnishing wages.

Quoting "case law" when dealing with the IRS will get you no where.

It's not quoting "case law". Around 5:45 in the video it goes over this. You agree to pay what you owe. Do not argue that it is owed. Only agree to pay on conditions that they substantiate they have a legitimate claim, and give them a time frame to provide this information. When they cannot provide this information (because it doesn't exist), they lose. Any offer of full payment not accepted is considered a debt paid under law. They couldn't accept because they couldn't meet the conditions.

>dictating terms to the Fed.
tell me how that works out for you.

Filing a tax return is giving the government a confession. They can hold you accountable for any information you provide on a tax return. The reason for this is that by signing you are stating that you understand all 10,000+ pages of US tax laws and 30,000+ pages of regulations.

The 1040 is an arbitrary document that the government can interpret it in any way they need to. I doubt you understand 40,000+ pages of laws, and because I do not understand it I refuse to incriminate myself.

you may be right, but failure to understand laws doesn't stop them from squishing you.

also if you deny the right of the government to collect taxes you would seem to deny the value of the currency. In that case one would have to wonder what you're doing earning the fiat anyways.

There's no law on the books that requires you to file a tax form. If anyone can find it, please show me. It does stop them because everything in the tax code must have a parallel entry in the code of federal regulations for it to be enforceable. The code they cite for income taxes is CFR 27 which is only for alcohol, tobacco, and firearms.

>If anyone can find it, please show me.
As I recall the law allowing the Fed to levy taxes is the US constitution and the law requiring personal income tax was passed conditionally in 1864 and then institutionalized in 1939.

Wikipedia has a decent article on the subject if it actually interests you, but I suspect you're more interested in denying it.

the problem is that people with your beliefs are regularly shot and killed in the US. So it doesn't matter if you're right, you won't survive to contest the matter. I think you may be considered a domestic terrorist atm, but if not I can vouch for the fact that LEO's are on alert for you.

I like the way it sounds... tax terrorist.

also link?

they call it the sovereign citizen movement. google it. Most of what you'll find is vid of cops arresting or shooting people like yourself.

Well damn, one minute I want to keep the money I earn to not be a debt slave, and the next minute I'm a domestic terrorist because I threaten the governments main source of extortion funds.

kek

they don't joke around about their cash flow.

honestly I don't even think it's about the money, it's about asserting authority. They do have a monopoly on force though. Not much point in questioning that.

they can and will fuck a person up for doubting their authoritay.

They need authority to use citizens as collateral against foreign debt. Not surprising considering 13.7 cents of every tax dollar goes to paying off just the interest on their debt.

>When they cannot provide this information (because it doesn't exist), they lose.

No, you do.

The IRS will simply follow through with their collection policies and demand payment. Any response besides payment or an acceptable payment plan will be ignored. At a certain point they notify you of their intent to levy and begin the process of systematically destroying you financially. Good luck fighting once it's at that point, the IRS has much deeper pockets than you and everyone you know or have ever met, combined.

You lost this fight in 1913, it's time to give up comrade.

The only thing I'm seeing on sovereign citizens are people committing crimes like filing fraudulent tax returns and other illegal activities.

This guy seems like he figured it out, supposedly he's been doing it for 25 years. His reasoning is logically sound, but I doubt the website because he wants to sell the information. onefreemanswar.com/home.html

the thing is all citizens benefit from those taxes unless they happen to fall over dead shortly after birth.

so it's not THEIR debt, it's OURS.

You can opt out, all you gotta do is move. Other places have similar laws though. So good luck.

I personally opted out of taxes by being homeless and living off the land for a number of months, but even that isn't sustainable if a bunch of people did it. Taxes are probably unavoidable, otherwise we can't afford the infrastructure that keeps you alive.

death is an acceptable way out.
death and taxes.

>The only thing I'm seeing on sovereign citizens are people committing crimes
yeah, not filing tax returns is also a crime.

one of the favorite crimes of sovereign citizens.

Do you have the source to support this? If the filing of tax returns was required, then it is unconstitutional. As I've said before, by signing the 1040 you agree that you understand all 40,000+ tax laws and regulations. Just by that alone they could charge you for filing a falsified tax form. I would prefer not to self incriminate myself.

>by signing the 1040 you agree that you understand all 40,000+ tax laws and regulations. Just by that alone they could charge you for filing a falsified tax form. I would prefer not to self incriminate myself.
in practice all you're agreeing to is that you've tried to understand them and if you made a mistake you'll do your best to fix it.

"incriminate" is too strong, the IRS won't charge you with a crime unless you're an obstinate asshole like you yourself seem to be.

I'm adding up the charges now, and it comes out to leeching asshole tax terrorist, am I right?

I still don't have a source that mandates filing of federal tax forms.

>it comes out to leeching asshole tax terrorist, am I right?
yeah. One of those gets you a reprimand, the other gets you a fine, and the last one gets you shot and/or imprisoned.

>I still don't have a source that mandates filing of federal tax forms.
I'm not going to give you one, I don't really care if you get shot or imprisoned.

if it bothers you go look for it. If you don't find it, look some more.

I'll keep looking until I don't find it.

shouldn't take you but a second to not find it.

Get yourself a creative accountant user

That's my backup.

It's sad but this is what happens.

Taxes increase the cost of a product. It's very sad.

I've already read into the IRC, CFR, and UCC. I am now legally not withholding taxes on my wages, and not paying social security or medicare. I'm not sure I want to challenge the IRS on flat out not paying yet.

My rules for dealing with the IRS are this:

1. If they say you owe something, pay it as soon as you get the notice.
2. Spend some time researching the issue, and find their mistake. You have plenty of time, so there is no rush.
3. Send in a corrected form fixing their mistake.
4. If the amount was large enough, and you catch their mistake before they did, they pay very good interest on the money they owe you.

It's amazing how much easier it is to get money back from them after you have paid, than to dispute that a payment should be made in the first place.

that isn't how earning things work. its an oversimplification that what you earn isn't grounded in some form of socialism in essence, and now you've swallowed your fill and refuse to pay the bill.

on the other hand, i think the IRS is privately owned, working for a privately owned central bank, and has nothing to do with paying taxes anyway. not in the generally percieved sense, so, i guess good on you for being a commie and taking a stand against private enterprise.
