Witcher 1 was my first game. I love it to this day, but I found that its story is a fucking wreck that falls apart as soon as you read the books. The main story itself is certainly not its strongest point.

Meanwhile, Witcher 2's plot featured some elements from the books, but kept it to a minimum. It was CDPR's more "original" work - and they're better at that than strictly following the books, as clearly shown by W2 and HoS, the two best storylines of the trilogy.
Of course, the complexity of the game's political plot can also tick people off. Some, like you, just can't grasp all of it, they think it's needlessly complicated, intricate. It's not for everyone, I understand that much, no matter how disappointing it is.

Is it just me or has gwent AI gotten more stupid after patch 1.22?

For instance, when the AI plays all of their medics at the end of the first round (which they are losing) instead of losing the round, and pulling stuff out of the discard pile during the next round. (I myself being down to like 2-3 cards as well).
