Why is the A36 Challenger higher BR than the Comet I?

By the looks of it, it's worst than the Comet in every way.

Both are based off the cromwell chassis, yet the Comet I has superior armor and turret armor for that matter.

Both roughly weigh the same, go same max speed.

Comet has better gun depression

Challenger has a slight better reload speed, but worse turret rotation

Then getting back to the turret in general, the challenge has a tall ass giant turret. The sides and back are flat, coupled with the shit armor making it an instant pen for even T1 flak.

Nope, it barely helps. Gives it up to like 80mm of armor when at 5.7 the lowest pen is probably like 120mm on some shit ass tank.

I will give it this, the challenger does have a higher pen APDS than the Comet I by 20mm. But does it matter? The Comet I can pen anything at BR 5.7-6.7 already with 208mm. The extra 20mm is practically meaningless.

I find it incredibly hard to believe the Challenger should be a 5.7 tank. I can't find a single redeeming feature of this tank over the Comet I which is 5.3. It actually is worse in most cases.

As far as I can tell, if you like strategy games, it's as accurate as they get.

If you like playing with friends, I recommend Arma. It's not as realistic sure, but it sure is fun driving around in a tank with friends.

After some testing I've found a possible culprit to my constant uptiers. Those around Tier 3 to 4 especially.

In the picture I posted, I have my two line ups. One has the highest tier of 3, and the other one has a single tier 4. When I had the He 229(Tier IV) in my line-up I would often wait more time for it to get me in to games and when I would get in, I would always be the lowest BR in the match. Games would be around 4.7 to 5.3 max BR. I would never be highest BR in about 15 I played(At the most I would get in to 4.7 games sometimes). I then took out the He 229 and replaced it with Bf 109 G2/trop(Tier III) I started ending up in games where I was highest BR. I would get games where it would be a max uptier but those didn't come around as much.

Maybe how GF RB handles the BRs is how its done in Air RB and AB. Where if you have lets say the He 229 at 4.3 BR Tier IV, it will never get in a game against the P-39Q-5 even though that plane is 3.3, because its Tier II. Now it could work like that also in GF RB. Where the planes you have in your line-up affect the games you can get in to. Say you have the Do 217 M-1. Its 5.3 Tier IV meaning you won't be able to get in to any games lower than 5.3 even if you have the Tiger at 5.7. So you won't get downtiered all the way to 4.7 ever and you'll end up in games from 5.3 to 6.7 BR. Add this to how the matchmaking works, and it just fucks with how the whole BR system is handled.

Anyways, I know this is a long read. But I need someone to answer seriously and tell me if I'm being paranoid or if any of these mechanics don't add up and that's not how it works. I wouldn't put it pass Gaijin to forget to remove those Tier restrictions when it comes to aircraft when they're in GF RB and then with everyone taking their aircrafts and collectively fucking the matchmaking up.
