Like I said before, many people have different ways of how they set up starters. I have limited raid experience so perhaps raiders have a better setup, not to mention the inclusion of strength potions no doubt.

The problem isn't the lack of diversity in firing animations, the problem is that the only parts of your body that's animated is your torso, and whenever you fire a shot your upper body recoils, but your lower body stays locked in the standing position completely, making it look fucking horrible.

Well MCH still can, if you proc that is. BRD is still sadly screwed in this regard.

Have you seen bard's IE with an oGCD. Your legs continue the animation while your torso stays facing the target.

Pretty much this. For some reason, you don't get your tank stance until 40 (but your DPS stance comes in at 30), and you don't have any AOE DPS moves until 50 (and even that's a long recast once you get it). With that being said, PLD does get buffs every patch (it seems), and it's really the best MT in the game once you have your full complement of moves.

Before that, though? Ugh.

The reason for that is the exact same reason that Storm's Path and Impulse Drive haven't received new animations. It's also the same reason why LNC is stuck spamming Impulse Drive between Heavy Thrusts until 26, and the reason why PLD is stuck with one and a half combos until level FIFTY FUCKING FOUR.

I never said that it was "hard", but I will say that it's not as much of an enjoyable process as WAR or DRK. I only found it annoying because I had played WAR to 60 before playing PLD with any seriousness.

Since it was your first job, it's not easy to articulate how annoying it is to have the PLD leveling happen to you after (especially when I was doing my PLD to 34 just for the cross-class at the time)
