It just looks ridiculously and unnecessarily random.
Why cycle between 5 random 1-2L when you can use one strong 3L for everything? You could make the argument for a 1-2 combo with a degen skill and an active skill (Fire Trap + Spell is good for racing, for example) but don't use Flame Dash as a degen damage skill, shit's retarded except for top racers who are min-maxing a Merv kill time, which you are not.
Why alternate between using melee and spells at the same time? Just stick to either spells (in which case added lightning is good) or melee (in which case, there's a support called added fire which is much better). And don't fucking start Scion if you're going to end up confused about what you're trying to achieve.
here's how to win normal if you're a shitter:
0) get a fire trap gem (witch/shadow get it from hillock)
1) buy a 3L GGB wand/scepter from nessa/yeena or tarkleigh/greust
2) use the vendor recipe to turn it into a +1 fire wand/scepter
2a) color it to GGB if necessary, chromes can be bought for as cheap as 1 id scroll early on, check NPCs every time you're in town
3) get trap and mine damage and elemental focus from yeena after normal weaver
4) congratulations, you now have a powerful aoe skill that will carry you in normal with a single 3L with minimal passive investment

That second pic I posted was utter shit, too much focus on cast speeds and spell damage. Also had way too much into mana/mana recovery, since I literally could not run out of mana with both herald of ash/thunder up while using cleave/VS/BV. The way I see it, I wanted to build a ES heavy two handed build that would use a lot of elemental damage with some magic for ranged.
No clue yet, something about ascendancy classes or some shit. All I know is that if you put points into the scion ascendancy you can branch out from another class starting point.
I want to make a Berserker with the war cry ascendancy. I want to use Abyssal Cry w/Breath of the council. To actually kill things...earthquake, right? Is this worth trying or is it just going to play out like a regular fucking eq build with abyssal only clearing whatever little may be outside the eq radius?
