First of all you should play with people you know, pubs gonna pub harder in 5v5 and you WILL get placed versus 5-man premade teams. Besides that, and if you can't play with known people, make sure no one picks a sub, there's at least one CV, 1 or 2 DDs and you are ready to go. Bring gold smokes, you surely have some with all the events, and remember that maps are smol: open ocean map requires to insta-smoke since both teams start at scouting range of enemy DDs. A team with a Tone will most likely try to flank. Knowing that can be the key to an easy win. Colorado is a meme, avoid any team with a colorado player, not only he's using a bad ship, he's also showing that he knows shit all about BBs for bringing a colorado into 5v5.

two wins each giving me 30 points plus the 27 I already had leaves me at 87. According to current unupdated rankings that leaves me at rank ~390, so I'd get the sweet 8500 gold. However as the day goes on and others get points themselves I might slip beyond the 500 threshold into the 500 gold tier. I am playing with random people (and really I was lucky the enemy was so easy because my team was absolute lemons), so should I press my luck further to secure my 200-500 rank or quit while I'm ahead and not risk losing points? Also do they update the rankings after each period or just at the end of the day? To see how close I'd be from slipping tiers after this period ends.
