If DE really did go around replacing duration with drain warframe frame would be in the same state as weapons. Literally can not use any weapon without 2 straight dmg mods and multishot. Just wasting slots.

Nerfing frost is the wrong way to go. They should BUFF frames to be equally good, not nerf them so they're equall bad.

For example, instead of having duration, Volt shields should have hp similar to frost, and by hitting the shield with Volt's Shock, it "recharges" the shield and nearby shields.

That and increase the angle and curvature of the shield that way it can actually cover objectives.
Boom. Now volt can actually be useful, maybe not frost teir good at defense, but with that he can actually compete.

Another example would maybe be give Ivara a slow/status proc effect to enemies that enter her bubble/cross her zip lines. Again, not as simple as snow globe, but adds options.
