some semi interesting things regarding callie/marie and colour: first one is self explanatory, tentacle colour and ink inverted gives marie's colour scheme and vice versa. this is kind of obvious second one i'm surprised no one's commented on, either no one's noticed or everyone has and i'm just incredibly stupid: every arbitrary splatfest colour is chosen by shifting their default hues by however much. you can try this yourself if you have a program that can do it
kind of unremarkable, but still cool if you're into design i guess

I don't have any reason to believe this, so it's just speculation, but wouldn't it be awesome if there were a huge event, like an octoling invasion, during or after the splatfest, that introduces a new dlc pack that actually costs money?
We have gotten a year's worth of free content, and yet we have not gotten more single player modes or anything more than what was always planned. Since this is worldwide and the amiibo are coming out, I feel like we're going to get a dlc pack with vanilla players still capable of playing the original modes, and that will offer dlc players more options to customize their gameplay.
Super speculation is the that this final Splatfest will remove the set maps and allow players to start their own servers with radio rotations or voting, but vanilla players will be stuck with no options, at the whim of dlc players who host servers.

The one "pie in the sky" thing I want for the final splatfest is they set it up to where throughout the splatfest they cycle through all the stages. I hate the idea that of the last splatfest only having 3 stages leaving the other stages potentially never playable in night mode again.

technical skill doesn't mean automatically good art, it's that and a combination of creativity/the subject. so, i like because it's depicting something cute, even if it is a quick doodle. you're entitled to your opinion, but there is a reason why they haven't been chased off

i said arbitrary because it wouldn't work with say, lemon tea vs milk tea. so as long as the colours aren't "themed" it should work every time. i haven't checked if they're choosing the colours by a pattern though, but i doubt it
