alt right is a meme

same could be said about the left.

That affects most people on the internet.

People like that exist within every ideology on earth.

They just don't value open mindedness as much as the left. I mean, you always see them asking for safe spaces and all that.

That's why we should expel them from political debate.

Because their chosen political affiliation naturally attracts people with more violent tendencies and shrill personalities.

They try to justify it by being convinced that anything short of being a bog-standard /pol/tard makes you a full-blown tumblrite who necessarily must be just as shrill as them.

They're literally the exact same as mainstream leftists except pushing a different ideology. Really makes you think

When did we start referring to people on the right as "alt-rightists", what's wrong with just rightist? Is there an "alt-left" out there?

true right-wingers are people who value the free market, free trade, and limited government

the alt-right is big government authoritarian collectivist fascists and the same as other lefties

Why are Leftists hostile toward people with different opinions?

Why are Atheists hostile toward people with different opinions?

Why are Communists hostile toward people with different opinions?

Why are Monarchists hostile toward people with different opinions?

Why are Capitalists hostile toward people with different opinions?

Why are Technocrats hostile toward people with different opinions?

Why are Buddhists hostile toward people with different opinions?

Why are Muslims hostile toward people with different opinions?

Why are Christians hostile toward people with different opinions?

Why are Conservatives hostile toward people with different opinions?

Why are Unions hostile toward people with different opinions?

Why are Environmentalists hostile toward people with different opinions?

Why are people hostile toward people with different opinions?

Maybe there is a difference between being classic rightwing and JOOZ TRUMP WALL NIGGERS DEUS VULT folk.

>anarchism
>right wing
??

rightists who don't vote republican. basically hate feminism and want fascist politics.

Alt-left is Porky memes

Alt right is just the traditional right. Conservative leadership is the one that changed.

Libertarianism is literally communism at this point.

This is only considered right wing in burgerland, not the traditional definition of left-right politics.

>anarchism is right wing

The alt right will likely vote Republican. Also, do you think the traditional right would ever like modern feminism? Slut parades ?

Because like anyone who devotes themselves to an ideology, they're gorillas.

>x is a meme
everything is a meme my fellow human

Whoever got the idea for that lighter is the most based person on earth

This image triggers my autism and leaves out half of the political compass.

It's funny how no one knows what corporatism actually is.

...

I wouldn't mind if it they weren't constantly complaining about leftists doing the same thing.

I keep hearing alt-right a lot, but don't get what it is, can anyone explain what it is exactly?

Kiddos who jack off to the free-market yet they call themselves "nationalists".

The marriage of corporation and state.

Corporation meaning anything from the nation to big businesses.

Fascist Libertarians from San Francisco basically.
rationalwiki.org/wiki/Neoreactionary_movement

You just proved what I said.

Corporatism is nothing more than the division of the workers in a nation in different groups based on what they work as (e. g.: all those who work on the sea are in one group). These groups, which are commonly called corporations, thus the name, are independent of each other. and have various powers depending on what kind of corporatism we're talking about.

Maybe corporatism isn't the word you're looking for.

the state of /pol/ right now

It started out more-or-less as an umbrella term for politically incorrect right-wingers (most of which were part of one circle or another) ranging from politically incorrect RINOs to "the French Revolution was a mistake" to full-blown EthNat "Hitler did literally nothing wrong" and everything in between. Naturally it drew the /pol/ demographic like flies to shit but over the last year or so it started coming into the spotlight as people tried to figure out why Trump was so popular on the internet and consequentially underwent an identity crisis and schism; some people wanted to capitalize on the attention while others feared that the attention would degrade their communities. /pol/ is about halfway between the two and 8/pol/ is more on the latter.

A response to the current left that was a response to the traditional right.

So we're due for an alt-left sometime soon?

Probably.

There's a newfound feeling of solidarity among Internet shit posters under the "alt-right" umbrella, as a result they've become ultra-sectarian and go over the top in congratulating each other and over the top in disagreeing with those not part of the in-group.

"/pol/ is just right wing tumblr" is generally pretty stupid but in this case it's accurate, it's the same social dynamic

What a time to be alive.

The tumblr stereotype is alt left

Because they only see people as groups, just like every racist.

This, the leftists and the alt right are both dangerous collectivists and must be stopped before they destroy individualism and personal liberties

Alt-left is literally /leftypol/

this is the same as a blue-haired, obese, horn-rimmed glasses wearing tumblr user

Leftists introduce fascism.
Alt righters introduce education.

The alt right are the white national conservatives. They're typically belligerent because people who disagree with them are always wrong.

this

I feel like the alt-left will rebel against both radicals on the right and the left

I know you're a libertarian but you're kind of right.

Liberal democracy, despite the incessant whining of Communists and Fascists alike, is actually working pretty damn well.

Marxists and far right elements should be silenced and neutered before they ever get anywhere near positions of power.

We've already seen the consequences of that. It was called the 20th century and it sucked.

members.shaw.ca/jeanaltemeyer/drbob/TheAuthoritarians.pdf

The problem is that both the left and right rely on some kind of "greater good" idealist morality system instead of rational self-interest which makes them inherently dangerous.

Liberal democracy only works well if you place negligible value on tradition or ethnic/racial identity or you're a minority.

A meme is something, someone, or an idea that should not be taken seriously. Alt-rightists are enormous hypocrites and no one should take then seriously.

How is anarchism not right wing? In a lawless society something akin to capitalism would take over where each person looks out for themselves in a quest to gain assets and property.

The left isn't really the side of the political spectrum that preaches free market, unregulated capitalism. Even so-called anarcho-communists are, in practice, harsh statists that desire globalization in order to spite their opposition. For example being proEU.

>He takes memes seriously

The far right is just as authoritarian as the far left.

>He doesn't know that memes are the DNA of the soul

>actually breaking down the left/right dichotomy into state/non-state
why do we let americans on this board

...

I seriously doubt he's being earnest; it smacks of a very good trolling attempt.

When did I do that? I just made the case for anarchy being a right wing idea. I don't intend to even defend this over simplistic view of political positions.

It can be

do you know about the origins of anarchism?

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Bakunin

it certainly was not right wing

Why don't you kys and stop strawmanning?

Why does it matter what anarchy was conceived to be?

All that matters is how it plays out in practice.

ok well can you cite a single example of right wing anarchism, or even large scale anarchism at all for that matter

But that's what makes this conversation so interesting, neither of us can provide evidence for our claims. We simply have to talk about what it will most likely be like.

Even when Somalia fell into "anarchy", the state was quickly replaced by warlords. Hence why it is probably better to classify anarchy as a utopian ideology due to the fact it can't be sustained; some force will come in to replace what was lost.

An anarchist society is not by definition lawless. Groups of people will pretty much always develop codes of acceptable and unacceptable behaviour in order to survive and prosper. Anarchism as I understand it is more about removing involuntary social hierarchies.

/thread

So alt-right = /pol/?

By and large, but pockets of old /pol/ remain, which is usually just plain out National Socialist or social conservatives.
