As for not partnering up, wasn't the reason they didn't get Giga due to them no wanting to provide uncensored cg's? While I still think that's dumb, I can at least tolerate that, that's just how they've always been, how I've always seen them in VNs, and at the very least, it's not more censored than what the original was.

As dumb as not allowing art without mosaics for international releases is, I can at least accept it. It's basically the way we've been reading VNs for decades now, not to mention h-manga, etc., and it's at least no more censored than what the original Japanese release was. I wish JAST would have compromised on that, at least we would have gotten an r-18 release, and it would have been them doing it, not sekai.

I can at least respect their refusal though to cave over something they wanted to provide. That's the thing with sekai. People say that it's the dev's who are opposed sometimes. And it's true. But other companies are willing to negotiate/convince them, or walk away if need be. Sekai bends over and things like h-scenes, because they don't actually care about them. Can't put them up on steam anyways, so why does it matter?

Psycho pass was a show that got a remastered release of the original anime series. It's not really a surprise they'd make a VN for it if they're trying to make it a big thing, it's just another medium for the concept to be in. Same with the Guilty crown VN.

Angel Beats was done by KEY, and I believe they were planning to release a VN retelling of the anime from the start.

Generally anime originals aren't popular enough to have work done for a VN, though many will usually have manga and LN publications.
