Story-wise compared to 999 or VLR it's pretty bad, in two words it's shallow and cheap.
Puzzles are fine, but again compared to VLR are a lot easier.
The thing that hurt the most is the post credit epilogue cards, I love Uchi but that shit is so fucking awful.

MC will apparently have different, craftable outfits that will allow them to use different Codecasts (spells to assist the playable servant), but we don't know if they will actually show up on the player's model.

The biggest reason why ZTD seems so off is because it turned into a movie.
The dialogue boxes are completely removed, and while it's not really bad, it does feel unfitting for the game.

That, and they just kinda go full retard near the very end despite starting off decently.

This. There are a lot of parts that are pretty good (the Stranded Pair fragment is one of the most memorable ones), but the ending ruins the entire game's appeal. I assume they ran out of money and couldn't animate what was in the post-ending cards.

All the complaints about animation quality are mostly for the handheld versions, I played it twice on PC and Vita and the PC port never dropped frames so all the cinematics looked less wonky and cheap.

I pick them based on my playstyle. Even if you don't know what your's is, you know what weapons you had the most fun with. From there, after trying every weapon at least once you go with the one that you did really well for no reason with.

Nothing significant. The toned down the blood so it could be packaged with GE2:RB. Kind of a useless gesture since I've seen more violent game hit T but these decisions happen pretty early on so it's whatever.
