Constant 30 on New 3DS, constant 30 on Old 3DS, but with occasional frame stutter where it doesn't divide the frames evenly. I play on both and there isn't just a whole lot of difference.

O3DS churns out 30 fps, but sometimes at an uneven rate. Stutter is the best term I can think of for it. It almost never actually drops frames per se, but in select examples is a bit disruptive.

I mean I can't be the only one who remembers claims that 4G and then 4U ran at a smooth 60fps which lasted to months after the latter was released.

New 3DS tends to consistently divide the 30 fps evenly. There's not just a whole lot of difference either way.
