As such, a force without experience and without clear plans was sent to fight the zionists. Furthermore, the Arabs had little international support and the few foreign volunteers they could get were often inexperienced.

Meanwhile, the zionists had a pool of fresh WW2 veterans they could pull in from the Jewish Brigade and the Mahal. Also from the Mahal came a plethora of experienced pilots, which gave Israel top tier logistics and smuggled weaponry. These foreign fighters also helped Israel gain a favorable opinion from the West, which led to increased support.

By that logic all countries suck at war because they all had their downfalls through out history.
