Here's how you fix league:
>remove levels, items, towers, minions and gold
>convert the game into one of capture the flag/control the hill/escort the payload
>game is PURELY skirmishes and fights
>game can't snowball in either direction, complete 180 degree turn arounds are possible at all stages of the game based on player skill
After playing 5 hours of Splatoon I'm convinced this is the only way. Maybe Riot will pick Magma Chamber back up and make a cool capture the flag mode there.

No one played Heroes of the Storm specifically because it was competing with League and League was a team game people wouldn't leave typically because "all my friends play it and I've already put too much time into it". Which is why they are being re-worked in the near future. Remaking an entire champ while trying to preserve the charactersitics is very hard to do.

He'd honestly be fine if the counterplay to him wasn't more intensive and intuitive than actually playing him.

He gets too much free dueling potential with too little meaningful mana costs and absurdly low CDs. So of course he has to either be dogshit or overpowered based on the numbers. They should up his mana costs or flat out remove some of the free shit he gets in his kit so they can actually bring the numbers back to a reasonable amount.
