There's really no 'most fun' dps character at all. It's all highly subjective. Were you thinking of ranged, caster, or melee ?

Just stay away from Machinist, it is terrible and only played by those that loathe themselves.

Are hybrid classes the way to go? Is Dark Knight an interesting enough tank to warrant investing in?

The only hybrid class is Arcanist, and no it's not particularly exciting unless you really like dot gameplay and pet management.

All classes have a cool aesthetic depending on what you like. Some classes have higher personal DPS but they all average out to being useful in different ways, there is no bad class.

I quit right around the time I hit 50, and started running crystal tower for darklight gear and started atma farming for the weapon. If I resub is there content that'd last me a very long time? I tried playing again about a year ago but the community was just completely dead and the entire city was silent besides bot shouts.
