just bought pic related off my dad. it was sad, but he's getting too old to ride it, and wanted it to go to someone who would take care of it. he didn't ride it for the past two years, just went out to the shed every month or so to start her up.
it's a 2007, with only 10,300 miles on it. I've had my bike license for two years, but this is the first bike i've owned. It's a mixed kinda feel. what am i in for, br/o/s?
Zachary Murphy
All I want is a Triumph, tired of fast, want hipster gf and skinny jeans and triumph
jesus, a 2002 goldwing is still $13k? 10k miles is literally nothing, but still.

What is it?
Hyosung is a valid choice

Because I just got my endorsement and don't own a bike yet. All I can do is eyeball cheap beaters on craigslist until July. Selling a week or two of my annual vacation time for a bike.

Literally no dealership I've called does test rides, how am I supposed to test out any certain bike? What are you guys' methods?
William Phillips
>not jerking to BBW porn and just having an open mouthed cum catcher pic so you dont have to clean up.
Git gud. You really think that I jerk off to the pic. Retard. Unless wranon sister/svguy sister/e85 gf/any other user gf.
Sebastian Johnson
A lot of places have organized test ride event days, with the stipulation of you drop it you buy it. Other places will let you ride if you put the bike's cash value down as collateral.
Way too many plebs show up and drop bikes right in the parking lot.
Luis Torres
Any decent budget tire suggestions that come in rear 200/50 x 17? intend to sell my bike soon but current tires are cupped and just want something to throw on them. Ideally something that still gives decent traction as I'd like to run it down the dragstrip a couple times next weekend or the weekend after.
Not sure how I feel about the cheap shinkos

I'm completely new to bikes, and I'm looking at but I was wondering if a CB1100 Deluxe Honda is a good starter. I'm not worried about dying, either, which I feel obligated to say. Everyone I've asked about it just talks about death and then drops the subject.

demo days.
Or, dont call them and show up in person and ask how to ride 1 or 2 top ones. Ask if they'll take a blank cashiers check or actual cash to hold like on craigslist.
Or, do what I did, go to craiglist sellers, let them hold 3 grand and ride around, then come back and say you want to try this other ride you had scheduled tomorrow or you need a day to think it over. as long as you are white and bring along a bored friend or grill you will be fine. Its how I rode my first honda shadow, ducati monster, and VFR800
Jonathan Butler
Coolio, thanks mang

>CB1100 Deluxe Honda
Its really nice, and the parallel twins are smooth on power so you cant really gun it
but guessing you havent even ridden a dirt bike more than once or twice? a new bike is gonna suck to drop worse, making payments on a bike in winter when you cant even ride it
If it were me, I'd grab an old 500 or any of the 650s first. same engine with a little less power down low. but you wont miss it.
Theres just something about owning your first bike outright. But free country and theyre more than happy to give you a loan.
Short: you will be fine with that parallel engine

different poster here: I literally cant find any old 500's or 650's type old bikes that are in running condition for low price. Like theyre all 3+ grand (I live in North Texas around Dallas), so it would make more sense to buy something with better resale value. Is there some better way to finding old bikes.

adding. for craigslist dudes, act super torn. You want them to think a potential sale.
One guy texted me a week later after a zx-6r and demanded "gas money if i wasnt buying the bike"
Oh! and download a free texting app and give them that number. One of them even lets you make and receive calls if you watch ads on it. That way you can just ghost after you ride it

I appreciate the input man. I'm largely interested in the bike due to looks. I'll take your advice and look around for an old 500 or 650 before making my purchase, but man that 1100 looks so badass.
Ayden Russell
KEK!!!
Michael Torres
I am sure you can find an armored jacket that you like that is a lot less expensive.
Austin Ramirez
The cum on your face really suits you m8.

I actually have another question, is there a huge difference in 600 supersports? I'm tryin to test a 2013+ 600rr, if I were to ride a buddies 2003 600rr, would there be a huge difference?
Chase Sullivan
yup, muh buddy just got it. It's his first liter peter so he's taking it slow and at the same time helping me rein in my propensity to do 90 at least once a ride due to him not going past 70.
Jayden Ross
He didn't know at the time, but the universe did.
Anthony Howard
List price =/= money they will accept
Its still early in the season. They are still at special snowflake status. When the listing goes stale for the 2nd time and they get more spam offers and "U STILL HAV CROCH ROCKET" they will take a $500 loss and shake your hand.
No 650 or 500 should be above 3 grand pre 2009. If the craigslist selection is shit, give it another month. Bikes don't sell as fast as you think. Especially a SV650 with 15k miles for $4,500.
all else, be honest. Hey I've got 3 grand, more saving up each paycheck, can you hold that and let me ride? I know is 1,000 below asking, but its all I have right now. Once they have the cash in their hand, that heft feels pretty good. Offer them that and if they balk offer to run to the ATM to pull out $200. ATM's have a $500 limit daily so they cant ask for too much. and once again, dont be afraid to walk away.
Pic related. How my buddy got Ninja650 pictured for $3,200

Most manly beard he has ever had.

10/10 Keep it up m8.

I did go ride nigga.
It was rich as FUCK so I'm not too worried. I had to throw mad fuel at it to make it smooth during winter. Kind of a "fuck it, this works for now" type fix. Glad I got it running better on the first try lol.
I have no way of checking header temps. When I first bought it, it was lean as shit and I had no idea so I did some top speed runs and my exhaust was glowing afterwards. That wasn't good. Happy I didn't blow anything up.
I'll definitely keep an eye on it though, thank you for reminding me. During these months it runs hot AF anyways so I'll make sure it isn't anything crazy.
200 rear? What bike are these going on? Shinkos are fine if you just need something cheap that works, especially if you're selling it.
Blake Gray
You're gonna have a comfy time.
Josiah Stewart
Not super huge, but the 2003 might be carborated. Which means that fuel goes though "jets" like openings. You have your idle, medium, and full. They operated exactly how you expect. So when fuel goes into the full its like a powerband shove from god himself.
Gonna be a little rougher round the edges, noiser, and suspension is gonna kick without all those fancy adjustments and traction controls. But it will still hit 80 on a side street just as fast.
After the 1999-2002 Hyabrosa speed wars, it wasnt about speed but about comfort and handling from 2004-now. Now everything has Olins and adjustables with TC and ride modes. Engines havent changed just gotten refined
Matthew White
>top speed runs >exhaust glowing That's crazy that it would still get that hot even with all that wind on it
Cameron Wilson
Gotcha, thanks man, appreciate the info!

2013+ 600's have this wierd thing where the gauge cluster is so low you have to look though the windscreen at it. If your 6foot or over its gonna affect you.
Which is why 6foot4 honda looks so retarded on his.
