Thank fucking god we have a REAL new thread for REAL yesdevs who are a part of the anti-nodev crusade! You have my blade, gentle OP!

>steamcommunity.com/groups/vgamedevcrew
Nope.

Oh my god. I didn't notice that. The steam shitters and source senpaitachi are really frazzled and on the run now. Fucking lol.

Should I use C or C++ or C#? Why?

quick, post progress

Ooh, a little too late. Sorry

What's the bigger picture of your game?
I keep seeing you making new events and stuff but I still have no idea what the rest of the game is like.

turn-based resource managing thing with comfy base building with events once in a while

You're going to go big with this game, if you finish it that is.

thanks, most of the mechanics are in, I've got to flesh everything out

Here's an event:
Mysterious cloud of tiny insects sweep in and shred the clothing of all soldiers.

Do you have characters the player can get invested in? i think that would be a pivotal selling point for a game like this.

I'm trying to do that now with choosable 5-man squad with additional soldiers unlocked by achieving shit in-game (mostly dying)

That is mint. What about character progression/development? do they level up or progress through their own plotline?

Do you have any finished game?
Your progress is pretty steady so I'm guessing you have some experience already.

Does your game have any replayability? Where's the fun in a game that is tedium to the max in each and every playthrough sans the first?

Your characters look pretty cool, by the way, but they lack serious detail. Most people would find it lazy, I find it smart and time efficient. Good job on that.

I've helped in one project that's on steam, it's really not that good though.

I forgot to post my progress for the recap because I was too busy with my day job.
