In OFA, you could pause the game and the text box would still be visible. The idol would continue to speak, but the dialogue would not progress to the next line until you unpaused.
In PS (or at least in this intro cutscene with Takagi), pausing the game causes the text box to disappear entirely.
Dialogue auto-advances, just as it did in 2 and OFA. And I thought it auto-advanced in SP, too.
