It may have stolen the lines, but somehow I think they were improven.
I've seen the 944 up close many times, and it still does not evoke the same feel that FC does.
Maybe because it was a Porsche and I cannot think of them as anything but status symbols?
I don't know, 944 isn't even expensive to be called rich if you have it and is really common. But FC has the shroud of sexiness and rarity around it, coupled with a rotary engine and infinite potential.
Its a clear winner in my book despite taking the body from 944.

is the only R3X exhaust note I really liked, so far. Mostly because it emphasizes the ridiculous power of the thing quite nicely, without getting into annoying territory.
