>Easter Rising rebels sided with Nazis
>Ulster is British
>The IRA were always terrorists/The RUC/UDA did nothing wrong
>De Valera did nothing wrong
>Anyone saying anything anti papacy whilst speaking about the Glorious Revolution or the Battle of the Boyne

>The black 'n tans were brave men

Shut the fuck up you potato peice of trash. Every fucking time I go to get myself a coffee in Boston I see your fucking Irish monuments getting shit on by pigeons. I had to deal with you scum in my CAD still moping about the British two hundred years later like it was slavery. Mosley should've taken power and gassed you all, you are no better then the niggers complaining about actual slavery 500 years after the fact.

FUCK OF REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

No one ever claims that, pretty much everyone agrees they were scum.

>can't handle the banter

Fuck off, mate.

I hate hearing yanks talk about their independence like it was some terrible thing that crippled the Angloshits, despite their empire peaking AFTER the colonies told them to fuck off

Irishman here, I hate that Irish people don't acknowledge what an unbelievable stab in the back the Easter Rising was.

We attacked at the height of WW1, deliberately when Britain was at its weakest, with the cunning geostrategic aphorism of "England's difficulty is Ireland's opportunity".

And what did the Brits do in response to this unbelievable betrayal?

Did they ban Sinn Féin and the other republican organizations? No.

Did they institute martial law? No.

Did they impose any punitive measures at all? No.

What did they do? Absolutely nothing. They executed the leaders of the uprising, and sent the footsoldiers to a prison camp in Wales, then pardoned them all after a year. And that was the end of it.

Their lack of will and determination is what allowed us to rise up again a couple of years later and sever the link with Britain. The first domino that brought down the British Empire. Just goes to show what liberalism and tolerance will do to a country.

t. brit

>stab in the back

I guess that depends on your point of view. If you were Irish and didn't want to be British, you've no reason to not want to fuck them over I suppose.

I'm not sure how well or poorly Irish people were treated during that time, or how forcefully they were conscripted.

I think the treatment of irish men who fought for brits when they returned was shitty.
Semi-understandable seeing as who was in charge and all that, but still.

They literally passed a Home Rule law and were obliged to enact it once that state of emergency was over.
Dumbfuck bogniggers didn't grasp that and ended up getting their country partitioned

>the Irish are people

>finland was allied to nazi germany

How could Easter Rising rebels side with nazis? The easter rising took place long before the national socialist party even existed.
And Ulster is British, it was colonized by Scots and is slowly being made Irish again by differing birthrates.
What did De Valera do wrong?

He probably meant Germans.

>Did they ban Sinn Féin and the other republican organizations
Maxwell arrested anyone with any links to Sinn Féin, the aftermath of the rising was characterised entirely by the internment of anyone with Republican sympathies. That's one of the main reasons the Rising turned from something met with public derision for being seen as a betrayal, to being supported by the population - people don't like it when you start to arrest them without trial or reason

>Did they institute martial law?
Are we talking about the same rising here? They did, for one month.

>They executed the leaders of the uprising
The executions of all rebel leaders were done horrendously. The court martials were in secret, with no defence, and often conducted by the same people who suppressed the rising - all of which were against DORA. If it were dealt with in the way which you're talking about, and the way which the likes of both Redmond and Carson wanted, then it would've been grand

>Japan surrendered in WW2 because they thought the Soviets were going to invade Hokkaido.
>The M4 Sherman was a piece of shit tank: Alternatively, it was good at the "soft" factors like ease of construction and reliability, but was shit in battle.
>The number one cause of failure of the Germans in WW1 was the blockade, and not being in a hopeless position on the Western Front.
>Judaism picked up monotheism from Zoroastrianism.

Oh, and one more I forgot.

>Hitler could have won WW2 if only he hadn't done [Stupid move X]

>Bostonians
>Irish
Yeah, nah. They're your fault.

>Just goes to show what liberalism and tolerance will do to a country.
It's curious how the right wing in Ireland are the most servile, self-hating group where as the opposite is true in other places. Blueshirts should be gassed imo.

But weren't ulster gunning for it not to go through?

>Kiss me I'm Irish

I need a sticker that says "Kiss me I'm not Irish"

No. I meant that people say "they sided with nazis" because of the German aid to the uprising. I meant that such a retarded statement annoys me.

>And Ulster is British, it was colonized by Scots and is slowly being made Irish again by differing birthrates.
Ulster is majority Irish and has been since before partition. That's why they gerrymandered the borders to include 6 counties instead of 9.

I think he meant N Ireland though

>irish
>iberian

So you're a gay Jew armchair general?

>Easter Rising rebels sided with Nazis
>Ulster is British
>The IRA were always terrorists/The RUC/UDA did nothing wrong
These are true tho
