Had my first real ride on the DRZ today. Put a little over a hundred miles on her. I'm in love with this thing.

2st for EX500 is best ninja

I need to clean the carbs on my 83' GS550E, but I'm terrified that I'll fuck something up. I've poured over the Haynes manual for the bike and feel semi- confident. Should I just man up and do it, or should I get someone else to do it for me so I don't mess something up?

Anybody here feel like using their sport bike as a commuter in city traffic is obnoxious? I have a Sportster and i can still enjoy it in my day to day riding because all the power is between 2500 and 4000. My only concern is that i plan on getting a R6 and i may become aggravated having to lug it around in slow-ass Baton Rouge traffic.

...

Well boys picked up a 2016 Drz, R.I.P to my sporty

Got any necessary mods?

why are you planning on getting the bike with the least amount of low down power in the 600 class, the class with the least amount of low down power of sporty motorcycles then.

Are you retarded?

Get a gsx-r750 if you want some mid (inb4 hurr I don't like how it looks though, I wanted le meme r6)

Since when is the R6 a meme-bike? GSXR is the meme if anything

>big bore
>bash plate
>guard protectors
>Knobbies
>Exhaust

remove intake

Ayy DRZ bros.

As for necessary mods, you'll probably want to to cut out the airbox snorkel (3x3 mod) and rejet it so it can breathe a little better. If you ever plan on off-roading or anything you should probably get case savers. They're just plates of steel that you stick to the case savers so you don't bust a hole through them if the bike falls on one.
Also adjust all the controls to your liking. I always need to move my levers down and like to roll my bars forward some too.

actually it's the opposite, gsx-r's are hated by memers because they're le gay bike xxxxDD)))

Meanwhile human memes like R6s

nobike here, I'd like to get something cheap to learn with and I'm not against fixing something up. What do you guys think of this?
brunswick.craigslist.org/mcy/5533827699.html
y/n?

I wasnt aware that the R6 is a meme. Im not very good at being up to date on fads and what not. I guess thats why i dont care for my Sportster. I just dont care about the "image". I think its a nice looking bike, but damn does it piss me off.

Sport bike no, supersport rehss baik, maybe.

This is what F4i, 650F, 636, etc. exist for.

this

>yamaha
>ever

3x3 mod
rejet
bashplate
barkbusters
sharkfin

i always thought gsxrs were a meme because black people like to ride them

during my msf some black kid was there because he got a ticket on one with no license

How do you convert a bike with a title(salvage or otherwise) and remove the title so it's off road only?

Is this gay furry porn?

file off the vin and burn the title

no user, its a screencap from the bible

wouldn't know sorry, no black people in my country.

document shredder

Is that all? I'm thinkin about buying a salvage bike and building something for the track, but I don't want to keep minimum liability on it if it's not going on the road.

man, after riding an injection for a few months, a carb bike feels clunky
and the throttle on this bike has so much travel, I've nearly stalled it a bunch of times

yeah pretty much, but if the track requires insurance then you're kinda fucked.

Ninja 300 is a sportsbike in the same way the waiter in a Los Angeles diner is a movie actor.

Reminder to laugh at all the underage carb fags ITT

I find it hard to believe you bought a harley whilst never caring about image but that's good.

Go test ride these bikes and then you won't have questions like this, ride the 750, trust me, you'll like it.

Dealers will usually let you testride basically any second hand bike on the lot no questions.

I find commuting fine on sportbikes, unless your commute is over an hour long the comfort won't factor in imo. GSX-R's have these nice snap back mirrors (most bikes do now too) and sportbikes are nice and slim for filtering.

I thought most places were just 'ride at your own risk.'

Thanks for that tip.

meme'd on kiddo

Well boys, two weeks of riding and I spilled it. Was daydreaming driving around a lake at a conservation park. Looked back and went off the road at sharp curve. Went 20 feet and ass end kicked out and slid about 30.
>tfw no damage

I lopped off the sissy bar
>mostly
moved the bag and did some cleaning. Got my WAT sticker on today. Will post pics when its sunny again.

Wew lads.

Just had my first late-night bike ride since I left India. Absolutely fucking amazing - borderline spiritual experience. Perfect weather, empty roads, and a fresh, cold beer to relax here at home with.

kek, forgot to link the old thread

You don't even have to destroy the title then. You can simply not register it and you won't need anything for it.

I would say it depends on the bike a lot. Are you riding a carbed and fuel injected version of the same bike? Are they properly tuned?
A bike with a shitty CV carb or bad tune will feel bad, but my bike with a flat slide pumper carb feels great. Super responsive and smooth on and off throttle.

no of course not, it's an educational comic about motorcycle repair.

That second video is sad yet hilarious.

best part is he said the wind pushed him over

the fact he accepts basically no blame for the crash is just amazing.

He actually congratulates himself for hitting the brakes like making it even harder to just push that right bar a mm forward and complete the turn was some positive development.

Thoughts on the Vmax? It seems interesting, there's one for sale nearby. It looks like it has a similar riding style to my Seca II which I'm pretty fond of.

Will I be able to ride this?

The wind? lol more like he forgot to turn.

yes just lean it to one side and get comfy with slow speed maneuvers

It will take some getting used to since you will have to hang way off to one side when you stop. You can make it work if you want to. I don't normally recommend the SM but it's a couple inches lower which could help a lot.

yes you just gotta hang off the side a bit and only put one foot down at the lights.

nevermind it's like 700 pounds

youtube.com/watch?v=7oC730sA_1U

lol he isn't gonna let it keep him down.

neeeeeeeeowwwwww whoh buddy ahhhh oh my god

that's really cheap

dbt,
Would you rather ride near Charlotte, NC or San Francisco, CA?

An opportunity to move to either town is coming up, and this is one of several factors.

he was leaned over pretty far. doubt there was much more he could go

weight, m8

No. I just bout the super moto which is lower and I have a 30 inch inseam. With boots on I can barely get both feet down, and 1 foot down comfortably. I don't think I could do a couple more inches though.

kek

Thanks, I like the offroad aspect but I'll probably go for a sports bike where I can touch but idk. It'll be a few months.

>testing new sleeping bag
>wake up two hours later in agony
Fuck me. Sleeping on hard ground sucks ass.

>mfw getting back into my comfy bed and rolling around

>a bit
My inseam is 4 inches longer than his and I already hang off mine a lot.

It must suck being a manlet.

The DRZ suspension will sag when you sit on it. That's not taken into account on that website. Try sitting on one for real before you change your mind.

Okay, thanks.

Nah it's pretty good.

>You don't even have to destroy the title then. You can simply not register it and you won't need anything for it.
Awesome thanks m8

>he was leaned over pretty far. doubt there was much more he could go
Yeah he was basically dragging knee bro, he totally couldn't have gone further.

Just to give you an idea of what a bike leaned over looks like
>m.youtube.com/watch?v=iGsTcmLG7dU

thats a nice bike, I scheduled a certification exam 6 days from now and I have to master 164 videos worth of It networking material.

nice looking shitbike

>that front tire

Thanks man. First bike. Cert for what?

I fixed my bike

nobike newbie here - will I be underwhelmed/bored with a 250cc first bike?

I don't plan on getting anything over 650cc - is there a huge difference between 250 and say 500?

Get a 600/1000, take the MSF, take the ARC, do a track day and you'll be better than 95% of street riders.

They say yes but I haven't felt too many issues with my 250. Although I don't have the guts to enter the freeway, I've hit 65 MPH easy on it. Even got it up to 80. Not super fast, but good enough for commuting.

This

I plan on taking the msf before getting my first bike, and may well take the ARC as well
by 600/1000 do you mean a 600cc-1000cc engine motorcycle?

>nobike newbie here - will I be underwhelmed/bored with a 250cc first bike?
not at first, but soon you probably will

Yes, make sure it's meme worthy. And you'll do the MSF on a 125 even if you own a bigger bike already. ARC and trackdays are done on your own bike.

buy a 600cc and get restrictor plates

just dont post about it or tell anyone

Thanks for all the input guys
