What's the most expensive ticket you've ever gotten?

What's the most expensive ticket you've ever gotten?

I paid over $200 for a speeding ticket going 60 in a 40.

>be me in sisters civic
>visiting friend in different city overnight
>98 in a 75
>woop woop sound of the police
>ticket for idk how much
>call some random lawyer ask how much
>lady asks for card info gonna be 200
>"200 for what, deposit, lawyer fee ??"
>"200 for service user"
>so sketchy butt fuck it
>literally never hear from then 2 months late
>no case number
>call back asking what happened
>giv me sec
>hold for 10 years
>be me 10 years older
>jk
>apply for a gov't job
>"do you have any pending tickets"
>n-no
>crazy thorough background check
>"so anyone you had no pending tickets right"
>balls sweatier than ann frank
>"y-y-yes thats right"
>"cool eveything checks out"

and then I found five dollars

I'm 34 years old and have never been pulled over by the police and have never had a ticket

Feels excellent to not be a dumbass

$1000 total USD
>work at a dealership
>we want to trade cars at a different dealership
>customer wants this specific car tomorrow so its sold
>its brand new and drives like a dream
>nightime
>groggy af
>driving back home from another city for work cause thats where the other dealership we traded to is.
>home bout 150 miles one way from other city
>trying to stay awake so hard
>not paying attention to speedo
>on interstate, see cop lights in distance
>"he probably pulled someone over"
>slow down as the lights get closer

cop clocks me going 97 in a 75 from almost 2200ft away
so that means i was going at least 100-115.
IN A NEW COMPANY CAR NO LESS
no insurence, no title or registration. he cut me loose with a ticket and said to appear in court.

criminal speeding is offical at 85mph so i lawyered up for 500 bucks and he sweet talked the judge. dropped it down to civil charge cause its my first offense and i paid 500 and some change to the state, worth it cause no criminal record. people don't realize how badly a single criminal charge can affect your life.

$480 for 130 in a 65

>I'm so terrified of law enforcement the fear alone keeps me in line

what a cuck

$335 for 60 in a 50.

Something like $380 for 88 in a 70. I paid some slimy lawyer $100 to get it dropped. Fucking california.

I only got a $120 for a 60 in a 40 in Illinois but it was my first traffic ticket

Man it is so fucking ridiculous how much 'speeding' costs. 97 isn't even fucking fast. Especially in a new car of this decade. Any new car short of smart cars can comfortably cruise at 90-110 and brake in time.
$1000 just by going 22 over. That's fucking ridiculous. I live in Florida and had to pay $280 for going 72 in a 45 after doing a burnout and 3000rpm launch at a redlight. It would have been only 4 points but I plea no contest in court.

My only time getting pulled over after an illegal left turn.
>Getting gas at station before on-ramp to freeway
>Exit of lot has sign along the lines of "no left turns between 5-9am"
>Its around 8:40
>Say fuck it and make the left turn
>As I pull onto the street bike cop rides onto street from a gated community
>Chills behind me at the light
>Light turns green
>Red and blue lights behind me
>Pull over on the side on the on-ramp
>"D'ya see the sign, son?
>"blah blah illegal until 9am"
>$400 ticket
>"If you take it to court I wont be there so go ahead."
>Gave me an escort onto the freeway
Not bad but I'd not repeat if possible

what ass cops, in texas you gotta really be hauling ass to get pulled over even then I've heard of guys getting a verbal warning pulled over at 140+

if I'm not mistaken theres a video from texas 2k of a guy getting clocked at 180 and getting a verbal warning

>Be me
>see yellow light
>see that I'm too close to stop safely
>maintain speed as I go through intersection
>just barely make it past the first crosswalk as light turns
>see stoplight camera flash
>die a little inside
>ticket for 600 dollars arrives next week
>mrw
I fucking hate Cypress.

>be mexican
>going almost 100km in a school zone and run a pedestrian stop light
>almost run over some little bastards trying to cross the street cause it was green for them
>fucking cop was there and stops me
>give cop 100 pesos (8USD)
>he lets me go

MFW

here in the states if you get flashed by a camera and get a ticket in the mail you just rip the ticket up. you have to be served a ticket in person for it to legally count. if you actually paid camera tickets just dont bother in the future. they kinda just expect you to be a good boy and pay cause its the "right thing to do"

lol

>Drive some shitty Scénic of a family member through Amsterdam
>Traffic lights everywhere
>Catch an orange light
>Apparently it was red already
>A month later family member tells me I got a €237 ticket

A bit under $800 for a 53/30 (I disagree with the fficer's reading but that would be irrelevant in court).
>wtfhowsoexpensive
New York is expensive as shit on the tickets.
Lawyer - $550
Ticket: $107, plus $93 surcharge
Mandated Defensive driving: $20
Total: $770, not including postage or the fee for a money order.

>$550 for a lawyer
It's the going rate for a lawyer to handle it end-to-end in my area (represent you, show up, plea it down, etc.) so you don't have to take a day off work.

>wouldn't the speeding ticket have been cheaper
Fuck no. New York charges you $100/yr for three years if you get six or more points on your license, the ticket itself would have been more expensive, and my insurance would have gone up by more than $500/yr for three years for having a speeding ticket in excess of 20mph. Also

>one time I don't make sure my radar detector is on before I start driving, I get blasted by a cop running constant on kA band radar
A reminder to be vigilant at all times for me.

Biggest I got was 200something for a red light camera.

"Distracted driving" tickets (texting or making a call) are about to go up here to $532, it's officially cheaper to run from police and get caught than to look at Google maps at a stoplight.

155€ for parking on pedestrian crossing at my uni. There was never enough space to park so we all had to pile up our cars, some even parking on the grass but they fucked me instead. And I was glad other students warned me that a tow truck was coming or they would have impounded my car too.

If you do that out east, they'll taze you and haul you off.

Anyone here live in commiefornia? I just got my first ticker over going 84 in a 55 but the officer wrote it in as 74 so that I wouldn't get fucked too hard. How much can I expect to pay for 19 over on the PCH at midnight?

>be driving shitty focus at 110mph max speed b/c why the hell not I have a radar detector
>be on 4 lane with median passin cars like a baws
> see car on the other side of median cresting a hill and think it's just some truck or something with a mismatch hood
>radar comes on as I'm passing another car
OHSHIT.png
>cop car goes nose down to make a u turn, but can't get slowed down in time and keeps going
yes.gif
>drop a gear and keep truckin
>bang governor while thinking about whether or not to turn off
>don't see cops chasing me so I decide to proceed instead of pulling off like I should
MOTHERFUCKING 2 COUNTIES LATER
>blue lights knocking cars off the road behind me
>I pull over with some ass muncher right behind me hoping the cop will keep going
>he doesn't
>107 in 75
>Paid a lawyer $400 to keep it off my record
Thankfully there's not much in the way of excessive speeding penalty in TX so 32 over didn't land me in jail like it would in some of the surrounding states.

$92 for parking

$179 for going "19 miles over the speed limit" when I was actually only going 5 over.

So the asshole cop lied, challenged it, paid nothing. Houston cops can go fuck themselves.

£0

Hoping it stays like that. If I got caught for every time I broke the law I would have had my license revoked about 50x.

Haven't even been licensed two years. I'm getting better with age and experience

$200 for doing 65 in a 55 and that was below pace of traffic.

Some dickweed city that has jurisdiction over like a mile of expressway.

I also got a 85 in a 50 ticket. $85 and 6 months revocation of license(under 18 at the time). lucky the cop didn't catch me like a minute earlier when I was doing well over 100.

Got one for allegedly doing 77 in a 65.
Tried to fight it, but the DA was being an asshole.
Got him to show me the dashcam footage which clearly shows my brake lights coming on and me slowing down BEFORE the sign.
"But you could have been braking from 100mph for all I know. There's no indication of speed"

I could pay $150 to get off and not have to worry about it or take it to court and potentially pay $600 and have it on my record.
So instead of taking another day off work and potentially losing significantly more money, I just paid the fine.
Fucking butthole in the wall town PD
gif related, I'm sure he pulled me over b/c I was driving a bright yellow evo

BC, Canada?

$5000 and one month jail time for faking registration stickers. Don't get caught, cops really fucked me over on this and impounded my car, now the tow yard is also going after me and harassing me every day telling me to pay them $4000 for "storage fees"

>live in affordable flyover state
>raped for doing a millionth of a mile over the limit

>live in NY
>average car is doing 15 over, tickets only issued for blatant speeding in front of cops or for belts
>get raped by cost of living in NY

I don't even know what to feel

128$ for 84 in a 70. People were going 90+ but I got picked off cause lazy pigs didn't want to chase anybody else

140 in a 65. Got stupid lucky, the cop wrote me for 120. Ended up with a 30 day liscence suspension and 800$ fine. Not worth it. Was in cali.

~$950 for doing 98km/h in a 60 zone. 2 more and I would have instantly lost my license for 6 months.

Looks like we have a winner.

Holy shit that's crazy. Don't pay those Jews a cent.

>implying i dont speed
>implying i never ran from the police
Sorry that youre too much a retard to get caught, seriously that must destroy someones ego

so did you go to court?

yeah I'm not in the freedom state tho

Yep.

$210 for going 84/70. Motherfucker was pacing me for 10 minutes and never used a radar detector. FTP.

Never gotten a ticket

i paid $350 for going 94 kmh on a 50 kmh street

then i paid $60 for going 86 on an 80 autobahn in switzerland. i hate driving in switzerland.

All these people in california paying high ass tickets. The cops where i live must be chill. I routinely hit 90-95 mph on my motorcycle when im commuting and there will be people walking away from me at that speed, and cops doing about the same speed as me. I believe that its the spirit of the law that matters though. Speed limits were put into place for the general safety of the public, and if the general public feels safe enough doing 90 mph then that should be fine.

i think like $500 for using a carpool lane, there was a cop at the end.

See

$505 for going past a stopped school bus with its red lights flashing. Fucking bus driver already walked kids across the street and got back in the bus and sat there, didn't turn off the red lights. I was already late for work, so fuck it, pass bus.

didn't see the motocop 2 cars behind me... WHOOP WHOOP... not only did I get ticket but was also late to work and got yelled at by asshole boss.

Fucking 490$ for registration. The renewal notice got mangled in the mail, never arrived - and the "late payment" notice arrived the day after my ticket. Felt peachy.

GD... that's rough man. Now we know why tow yards will end up with lien cars. Fucking ripoff.
