We live???

I was so lost...

Are station AI still retarded?

What do you mean? They'll still murder you for loitering, of course.

I mean do AI still freak out if you're on a landing pad for too long.

If you're on the pad after having docked, no. Not that I'm aware of, anyway. If you undock they'll still kill you if you're not fast enough.

Reminder. Maybe include this in the pastebin?

I let it die so we could have a proper OP.

>Not that I'm aware of

Do you know of the AI bug I'm speaking of? Essentially

>Land on a pad
>Alt tab for 10 minutes
>Tab back in and all AI that are taking off begin loitering, unable to leave
>Station eventually kills them
>Wreckage and debris adds up to the point that there is a scrapyard's worth in the station floating around

Was another example of the quality AI Fdev had/have.

This good enough?

Never heard of it. Now that you mention it, I do kinda remember a lot of debris floating randomly in stations after having tabbed out for a bit. This might require research, if I can stomach starting the game today.

Yeah, simple and neat is best, plus /scg/ and /edg/ are in.

I like it too. Tho I fear the last unsearchable thread might have killed interest. Hopefully not.

SPACE

LEGS

WHEN

Should be fine. Always was slow.

But... there's only 4 of us now. We're stupid and we'll die.

Time... enough. Did you get your precious space legs?

...no one was here.

CMDRs? SPACE CMDRs?

How old is this thread?

I dunno.

Its birthday is August 3, 2016. How long does it live?

4 hours.

Less than me!

You're reading a shitpost. You come across a full-page shopped photo of Braben.

Is this testing whether I'm a dad or a griefer, Mr. user?

...

Must get lonely here, Pecisk.

Not really. I IMAGINE players. They're figments. My friends are figments. I make them. It's a hobby. I'm a dad.

>tfw I'm enlightened by the vision

Describe in single words only the good things that come into your mind about… Horizons.

Horizons?

Yeah.

Let me tell you about Horizons.

May I ask you a personal question?

Sure.

Have you ever griefed a dad by mistake?

No.

But in your position, that is a risk.

Is this to be an empathy test? Capillary dilation of the so-called ‘blush response’, fluctuation of the pupil, involuntary dilation of the iris.

We call it VISION for short.

Demonstrate it. I want to see it work.

Where’s the player?

I want to see it work on a dad. I want to see it work on a negative before I provide you with the positive.

WHERE THE FUCK Do I GET MICRO WEAVE COOLING HOSES FUCK

Missions

I've posted things you people wouldn't believe. Dadbras on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched huge beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those shit posts will be lost in the archive, like dads...in...Eravate. Time to die.

Do you like our a.i.?

It's non-persistent?

Of course it is.

It must be obnoxious.

Very.

I know

I've been jumping around and refreshing MBs for hours and nothing

>conda and cutter exiting the slot at the same time

SHITTER'S CLOGGED

This is what's wrong with this generation. Be patient, don't act like an entitled millenial griefer who is literally a psychopathic rapist in real life. Embrace the vision, CMDR.

Fly safe o7

Would you like to be modified?

Had in mind something a little more... experimental.

What..? What seems to be the problem?

Mats.

Mats. Well, I'm afraid that's a little out of my jurisdiction, you...

I want more range, Farseer.

>come back from work
>find out that /dsgg/ turned into /edg/ + /scg/
i liked /dsgg/ better.

No one searches for it though, sadly.

>tfw sitting just out of gate anger range in an anaconda blocking sothis port in open

we should call it SCammE:D

>daddit

>-7

There is hope.

People play in open? Ahahahhah

they're really overrated
>spawn ship
>bug causes it to drift off the pad
>have to go catch it
>takes half an hour with the 20 - .5 range of FPS
>finally get outside and it's a mile away
>speed my EVA ass into space after it
>FREEZE
>by the time I can see again I've long overshot
>wait for it to get back to me
>FREEZE
>hear a loud whump
>when it unfreezes I see that my ship has slapped into me and killed me
>this happens every single time I try to play
what a fucking state of affairs. Dads can't get out of their ships and Shillizens can't get in them.

that -7 is the number of times I've downboated him, his score is +2

DAE run sothis to abate suicidal thoughts?

I own all 3. 2 disappointments down, one more to go next week.

Yes.

...yes.

is no man's sky dead guys?

store.steampowered.com/app/360950/

It's premature to say that tell the actual game is out.

No. Not yet. I do, however, sense many refunds in the near future. Especially for ps4 players.

>Descent
I thought he was doing something Freelancer like? I mean, I love Descent, don't get me wrong, just thought I remembered something different way back when.

Have you played it? Is it good? Looks slower than it used to be.

I'm only here for the schadenfreude, but have a pity bump

I'm on the verge of buying Star Citizen...
Please convince me not to do it.

Post more doggos please.

Might as well wait for 2.6/2.7 and the solar system update now.

RIP

He's looking down on us from Hus heavenly pillowy mounds of mashed potatos.

I haven't played ED in months. Last thing I remember doing was The Turreting.

Has anything changed?

>Hus

his*

>turreting isn't a thing anymore
>engineers were introduced, everyone hated them because they were grindy and stupid, and now FD made them marginally less grindy
>FD made combat AI way too strong, it was super bugged with release of 2.1, everyone complained, now it's more reasonable
>missions pay way better, scale strongly with your rank and rep, and sometimes offer engineer mats as rewards
>that's about it
>game is still grindy, shallow horse shit

Can I properly smuggle now? Like with missions for it and shit

>dat city map
that shit actually looks pretty alright. He knew what he was doing, no getting way too ambition in directions that don't translate to good gameplay.
it's rated very positive and mostly positive. E:D is mixed, I don't even want to imagine what SC would be.

Don't forget

>Getting good missions requires grinding to be friends with a faction

there's long ranged smuggling in Sothis/Ceos, and probably short ranged smuggling missions too, I don't really pay attention to those, so idk

I can post some more deterrent in webm form. seriously, wait for their netcode refactor and see if it becomes actually playable.

Refactor when?

dunno.

2.7 which also going to include a new patching system.

Will Chris show the goods at gamescom?

2.7 should be coming around October maby November

High ranking short range smuggling missions pay around 500k-1m credits.

And for some reason almost always involve shuttling biowaste around.

Yes, "biowaste"

It's soylent green

>playing in a wing with a friend
>he gets interdicted by an npc elite FDL
>I follow his wake to help him out
>when I arrive he's just about to jump out
>he still has me nav-locked, so as soon as he jumps out, he gets interdicted and pulled back into my instance at the same time
>it's the same FDL I'm already fighting
>literally two copies of the exact same NPC in our instance
>mfw

Hey man, I'm a backer from 2012 thanks to some of the original /v/ threads that would float around about ithe. When u put money down I told myself I'd forget about it for a few years and I did, until I rediscovered it right around 2.0 (December last year) and it honestly worked out pretty well for me; considering the scope if the game and CR's autistic need to make immersive space sims progress has been really really good. With all that said, though, I still recommend people wait until there's at least more real content before they buy it. Planets are right around the corner and I'm sure the wizards at CIG are busting their balls on this programming nightmare to make shit work.

The recent work in the Bengal made my jaw drop tho godDAMN

Just walking around in the hangar now is incredible. My khartu-al gives me such a boner.

Can't wait for the 300i rework

Same. GF upgraded mine to a 325a when I rediscovered the game again and I was so impressed with Olisar that I bought a Freelancer as a Christmas gift to myself

Did you guys think Big Benny would survive his hospital stay?

Thinking about that makes me think

>someone has probably died during the wait for Star Citizen

And we got at least another year for more of us to die ;__;

I used a 5 dollar discount to get a free upgrade from Titan to 300i. I like the 300i a lot, but I was more interested in the combat variant. Not gonna pay 20 bucks for that though. I'm holding out on applying it to my account until the rework.

I don't get it

Yeah the thing is dick for Arena Commander but the aesthetic is just so neat. The rework should make things more balanced hopefully. I wanna see the 600 series too dammit.

Inb4 reply to obvious bait.

I'm also interested in getting a Gladius when you can unlock ships in game I'm thinking it will be a decent escort fighter for a friend's connie

I only reply to dank memes user

Yeah I'm not buying anything else other than with in game currency. The REC system is nice too especially if you take time to git gud at racing

What are your thoughts on this fine gentleman?

I thought he was going to be terrible but found him to be ok. What do you guys think of the new RTV

That girl on the right looks like Shampoo

New RTV is great. I think it's important to change up the format every so often.

>Might as well wait for 2.6/2.7 and the solar system update now.

Wait what update, did you just pull this out of your ass?

Racing against players isn't fun as most of them that do race have the racing ships. I would try to earn REC but that's keeping me from doing it.

Those two updates are supposed to come out this fall/winter.

Doing the 17 Drac/Sothis grind to Butt Admiral while watching Firefly on netflix

Living the dream.

2.6 is Star Marine and bunch of fps shit + who knows what. 2.7 is an entire solar system/new netcode/patching system.

Have any of you guys ever gotten to engage in serious FPS combat in Kareah? It's hard to come by but I got lucky one time where a bunch of people wanted to do some space legs shootan. Here have some greentexr

>spawn super hornet, outfitted with 3 S3 Tarantulas and 2 Longswords on the turret
>go to Yela to acquire laser rifle
>some other dude trying to do the same thing
>welp, it's No Man's space
>engage on the fucker, set all weapons to fixed, blow it to smithereens
>eatshit.exe
>find green beacon, acquire rifle, QD to Kareah
>for once no one is camping the fucking place with 20 sabers and 12 connies
>park ship under the far side pad, EVA to airlock
>somehow 2 people were just sitting there ready for me, fortunately I kind of figured it'd happen
>after like 2 minutes of butterflies and hesitation I open the airlock and begin prefiring as its opening
>they apparently can't aim for shit, kill them both though I did get injured, proceed to medical room to acquire foam injections
>proclaim ownership of Kareah, more people come
>end up sneaking and sprinting and proning around like I'm in cawadoodie
>manage to get 5 or 6 more kills around the station before people gave up
>get stranded because my hornet still got blown up ;_;

Makes me hyped for Star Marine

Take it from a dude who started with a 325a, I was able to get enough REC for a Super Hornet through Vanduul Swarm pretty quickly. With the SH I got other shit like the Saber and the Vanguard even quicker. Then I got an interest for racing and after reading the INN beginners guide for racing, I got the Mustang racing ship they recommended and I practiced alone for a few hours until I could go around the track without crashing a few times.

From that point I took it online and within a day I was getting 1st place quite a lot. Its actually really fun once you get it down and it's got potential to be a great money maker if you're good. I can't wait to see the fucking Grimhex track

I've played a little bit of fps. I wish it was easier to group up with randoms.

paging /edg/ forum dads

Do you guys think dads will eventually flock to SC?

The dads absolutely despise SC.

Some will for sure, I imagine alot of the backers who bought the hire tier ships are forum dads.
