This guy didn't forget about you. He had multiple buyer deals going for the car at the same time in case a deal "fell through". That way, he is sure to get rid of the car. I was treated as a "backup deal" before. The seller would keep on delaying the purchase date to a later date since he was busy or something came up. Then one day no more notifications. When I contacted him, he said he had sold it. Thus, I had both my opportunity cost time wasted (as I had stopped looking once I committed to a deal) as well as direct time wasted plus the irritation factor. It didn't matter that my deal was first and that he had committed to it.
