Yeah I've gone on really long rants on the S3S forums about Raceroom's pay situation. I really hate what it does for player fragmentation with the tracks in particular.

I've pirated versions of RF2 because people talk about it so much and while I appreciate all the stuff it can do, especially with how the AI drive, the game never really clicked with me. The total lack of first party content, and the scatter brain nature of what is there was one of the things that turned me off it most.

If you're not willing to spend anything more get a Thrustmaster USB Joystick. That's litteraly the name of the thing.

In a training mission you're supposed to be able to lock on something straight ahead of you flying in range.

The training missions probably just realistically simulates a russian plane (i.e. it is broken all the time)

In my not so expert opinion, yes. If used within parameters I can see it being a major pain in the ass for MiG drivers, especially cause their radar is being dodgy as of recent. Speaking of which, the F-5s radar is still diabolical and I can never get a decent radar lock except in A/A-2
