I have no desire to play this game anymore and it looks like a bunch of my friends have abandoned it too.

Say what you want about TF2, but during its prime they knew how to keep the game interesting with its updates. I can't recall a time I got more excited in vidya than the years ago when they had shit like class and halloween events.

If the developers gave two shits about esports balancing then you wouldn't have an entire roster of garbage heroes and more than two supports that matter.

Wilson requires a ridiculous amount of team coordination to be useful and that usefulness is entirely dependent on the enemy composition to a more signifigant degree than any other hero in the game.

All the other tanks are generally good picks.
All the defense heroes are generally bad picks.
Lucio and Zen are the only supports that matter.
All the attacking classes are viable.

Winston being the least shit of the shit classes does not make him good.

I've slowly been climbing from 44, but only when I feel like playing because I'm in the zone and confident in the moment, and ONLY the heroes I actually feel like I know enough about to do (Pharah, Bastion, Hanzo occasionally). And I mostly win by being erratic, sticking to objectives, etc. If I had a mic it'd be best because I'd like to call out people I see while fighting, but mostly just quickly slam it into chat about a Tracer sneaking up or a Genji or whatever.

I climbed all the way to 60 with Pharah, and this was after the McCree Buff/Nerf/Buff. (My McCree & Mercy hours are glitched)

So you just don't have the coordination to use Winston. You just need to git gud then.

If countering Winston was as easy as swapping heroes then pros would have done it. They play the same game you do and have access to the same heroes as you do. But even with all the Winston counters he still gets picked frequently. Why? Because he is strong. If he didn't work he wouldn't be picked.
