for the quest where you have to find both a sun and moon stone, is the moon stone in the same area? I know you have to find the moon stone at night but I cant seem to find it

No. The Moon Stone is very close to the start of the floor.

Moon stone is at night, it should be near where you came up from the stairs, sun stone is way on the left side of the map down a hallway.

Obviously you get the sun stone in the morning.

no you get the ring in the 1st stratum and you get the level 20 exp scrolls after you clear 2nd stratum

Why do you prefer combat study?

smaller eyes = older

Because a scroll only give you a jump once, while combat study allow you to get experience everytime.

In EO3, if all your benched character had max combat study, they be around 10-15 levels lower than the main party.

A scroll is never going to help you to experiment with a new party in the 6th stratum, while combat study allow you to start a new party at any moment

You get both scrolls and a better version of combat study in 5.

I was fighting it the whole time.

Sadly, it's not actually a big orange ball in battle, it's some sort of mortal hunter queen roaming superboss that gets a free buff at the end of every turn.

It was hard as balls and it quite literally came down to the wire. I'll post the codex entry in a sec.

No. It appeared out of nowhere as a gold FOE icon on the map, like the Pasarans from 3, and I managed to get to it before it phased through the wall.

I thought it was just going to be one of the novelty FOEs that give experience, but obviously that was not the case.
