Shadows don't delete active hitboxes no. They interact but the hitbox stays the same, hence no hitsparks or whatever.

Solos have the most explosive comeback potential in the game, so if you pick your moments right and know your mixups, you can be very lethal. I've experienced this more from the receiving end!
I've seen good Solo Beo, Solo Bella, Solo Soul, and even a good JP Solo Band. Solo Double and Fortune gotta be pretty scary too. I think I also heard Sonicfox won a tourney with Solo Fukua.

KoF13 is good but the online is rough and it's a lot tougher on controls.
It's also not the game I would pick as my counter example if I was going to complain about games with "long" combos or a small community.
I definitely think it deserved more highlights than Injustice or UMvC3 did at EVO though. KoF13 sets were always fantastic to watch, just like high level Skullgirls.
I want to feel the same hype for KoF14 but the graphics are just so blah and the action looks stiff. To see SNK go from legendary 2D Art to those mediocre 3D mannequins is fuckn depressing.
People that do animation. SG outshined over 20 years of gaming history using traditional hand-drawn methods. It's a big achievement for the team. If it's published by Guinness it's still a Guinness record. It's like how Academy Awards splits up animated movies from the pack even if everyone knows they were the best movies that year.

I'm guessing you don't like SonicFox? I really think his enthusiasm impressed Yipes. It's that time when you hear a little kid get hype for a new cartoon in a genre you like, and it makes you watch a couple episodes even if you aint all about it.
Only here, I think getting bodied by Fox at least showed him the game was legit at high-level, and not a dumbed down Marvel with boobs.
That might also scare him since now he knows he can't just ride high on old Marvel skills alone. We'll just have to see if he sticks around.
Next time you play Skullgirls, just do Lock and Load a bunch.
