I was running a mythic dungeons the other day and won an item (boots) via the personal loot system. I was immediately addressed to hand it over (apparently it was a group of friends). I refused (since I actually needed that item) and as soon as I equipped it I was removed from group on last boss.

I talked to a guildy about it and apparently this is quite common. the only way I could describe this kind of behavior is Bullying (give it up - or else). this causes blizz original intention to enable players to trade items won via PL to be abused and even encourage this kind of toxic behavior.

imho, blizz should either disable the trading option, or constitute an established penalty mechanism against it.

I disagree, I do think logs are the second best. However they have way too many variables. Player skill, RNG in gear, RNG in specs, RNG in mechanics, latency, etc. They simply don't have enough sample size to account for all of it.

Imo Logs+SimC is the absolute best, but on their own SimC>Logs.

Speaking of which, I'm doing my own Sims for anyone who cares.

They represent all players, which is the problem because most players can't play their class properly.

Sims enable a "best case" scenario that is the maximum possible achievable, whereas logs are "what people are doing", which is very, very different.

A class can be difficult to master to the point where it looks bad because of shitters.

But if the item is an upgrade for you then you can't trade it to other people.

When I went into a raid someone asked for a weapon but I couldn't give it to them because I had no 1 hand better than the one I got, even though my 2h was better ilvl..

How does off tanking work? Does the off tank just focus on adds and fight normally in between/draw aggro if the main tank starts dying? How does this work in a pug where everyone is a cunt and won't communicate, if you need to do it for a certain debuff or something?

Depends on the fight. A good offtank will maximize his dps while waiting on the adds / taunt debuff to appear.

Normally yeah you'll take adds or the other boss if it's a two boss situation, in some fights you'll need swap if there's a mechanic for it.

By pug do you mean raidfinder? Because in that case just say you want to off tank at the beginning, in a raid finder situation your just extra dps with an instaq most of the time since the mechanics are so gutted. If you mean an actual pug as in not through the finder then make people communicate, take charge and start talking to the other tank.

they're not perfect, class specific discords have more specific and accurate info, but there's fewer defined guides on there
