Writing was fine for a twenty hour game. Pacing was terrible. Were it not for an amazing soundtrack and some decent waifus it would be nothing.

P3 is just Evangelion, it's not that inspiring or anything. The journey itself isn't that great because the pacing is shit and the slinks aren't that great (atleast as MC) but the ending is incredibly memorable and hits the main theme home. It was a fine game all considered.

I liked the pacing better than P4 honestly. In P3, you're always looking forward to the next full moon and you get more anxious as it draws closer. In P4, once you have access to the dungeon you just finish it right away and that part of the story just ends rather flaccidly as you go fill the rest of your time dicking around the the plot starts moving again.

I disagree. P3's plot takes fucking forever to get going. Next to nothing happens in the game for 6 months. That's the problem with its pacing, not the full moon structure.
