Welcome to /teslg/!

>What is the Elder Scrolls Legend?
An online card game similar to Hearthstone and Magic the Gathering.

>Where to get it:
legends.bethesda.net/

>Decklists, current meta:
legends-decks.com/

The game is currently in open beta, but they've stated they will not be doing a wipe or a reset, so you can and will keep any cards and progress made.

>Does this cost money?
No, you can play for free and jewgrind gold/stones

>How do I be a piece of shit
Green/Red, my friend.

How does it match up? Is it more like MTG or Hearthstone?

Definitely more like Hearthstone.

- 50 card decks
- 0 mana; you gain 1 mana per turn like Hearthstone
- Unlike Hearthstone, there are card types (like the 5 colors in MtG), and you are limited to 2 types max in a deck (technically 3 if you count "typeless" cards that any deck has access to)
- Both players start with 30 life
- You cannot assign blockers, but instead use cards with Guard (aka Taunt in Hearthstone)
- Although there are no instant speed spells like MtG, there are Prophecy Cards that will let you play them on the opponent's turn, but only if you take 5 damage, which then causes you to draw a card. If you draw a card with the Prophecy ability on it, you can play it right then and there. Kind of weird but makes sense after you see it.
- Different from both games, there are two lanes that split the combat field in half. The left lane is like a normal battlefield ala MtG/Hearth/etc. The right lane is a Stealth lane that prevents cards from being attacked by the enemy for the turn that they are played. You can still zap them with spells.

You can have 70 cards in a deck in constructed. 50 is just the minimum.
you also should mention you can have 3 copies of any card that's not unique.

You're right, although you should always run the minimum number of cards available. Running 70 is just disadvantaging yourself.

>no one playing when it's still easy to hit Legend

They will regret this later.

The lack of actions in Agility and Endurance is very disappointing. Makes Argonian ramp decks feel very shit.

There's only what, 400ish cards right now?

Definitely need way more for variety amongst the types.

New to the game, almost done with the story mode, flawless first solo arena run.

What should I focus on now ? Solo or Versus Arena ? Are the rewards the same ?

Also, how does pic related card works ? It gets back at the end of the turn ?

Pretty much once it dies it returns to pester the fuck out of you.

It doesn't return right away, but comes back every few turns.

I could've sworn I checked yesterday and there was no thread for this and thought I'm the only one playing this shit here since no one talked about it in /tesg/ or /tesog/.
I'm level 20, running a shitty token yellow purple deck, it's kinda fun I guess.
But it feels like there's too much RNG depending on what you draw (which is inevitable in card games).
So, yeah.
Also Xth for fuck arena NPCs advantage

I think the rewards are similar but someone said Versus is better, dunno.
By rank 4-3 solo arena becomes retarded RNG fest with unfair AI, so switch to versus once you hit that or get bored.

Fuck Archer decks jesus christ.

>I remove all your shit
>I draw cards for removing all your shit

How important is the Avatar ?
I'm level 9 with a Nord Avatar, and am starting to have second thoughts.

More like fuck blue decks.
I ran away from that aids cesspool in mtg and it's right back at home in here jesus christ fuck it.
Willpower is fucking cancer too.

Very.
You get legendaries for free depending on what race your avatar is.
There was a link to the image guide somewhere on reddit.
Shouldn't be hard to find.

My reddit skills are pretty lame, all I found was this :

>Argonians - Scouts - Agility+Endurance - Green+Purple.
>Dark Elves - Assassins - Intelligence+Agility - Blue+Green.
>High Elves - Mages - Intelligence+Willpower - Blue+Yellow.
>Wood Elves - Archers - Strength+Agility - Red+Green.
>Bretons - Sorcerers - Intelligence+Endurance - Blue+Purple.
>Redguards - Battlemages - Strength+Intelligence - Red+Blue.
>Orcs - Warriors - Strength+Endurance - Red+Purple.
>Nords - Crusaders - Strength+Willpower - Red+Yellow.
>Khajiits - Monks - Willpower+Agility - Yellow+Green.
>Imperials - Spellswords - Willpower+Endurance - Yellow+Purple.

I'll just look at all the legendaries and pick my favourite race from there.

Come on now, step it up senpai.

You get one of these at like level 12 or 14? And then at 24 etc.

Thanks. These are actually every dual-attributes legendaries.

I already got Tyr from Story mode (I had to choose between him and the Orb of Vaermina), and I'm only lvl 9.

Can you fight infinitely in the vs arena?
Or it boots you after 9 wins?

9 wins in solo arena.
7 in versus ? Not sure.

Can you go back in rank?
Or once you hit a number you can't fall back?
It said yellow stars go back but every star is yellow I think.

iirc you can't go back in rank.
However, you go into "snake" rank, which means you'll have to win two consecutives times in order to go back to you rank.

Don't take this post for fact, this is all from my memory, I don't even remember where I've read that.

I understand Intelligence is meant to be the Mage stat but fuck me, the amount of versatile Actions they have compared to every other Stat is dumb. The only other one that even comes close to having that many Actions is Willpower.

Can you not soul trap cards that can level up?
I wanted to get rid of one really retarded one that upgrades at level 50 billion that I'm never using to craft something but it won't let me do it.
