classic car discussion Post classic car pictures blogpost about classic cars and trucks >muh ferd vs chebby vs derdge
a classic is typically described as something thirty or older, but no your 31 year old honda civic is not a classic unless it has something special about it.
What's not classic about a 31 year old civic? Sounds awfully jingoistic of you.
Joseph Jones
Potato picture, but lady cruise = mission success.
Gabriel Wilson
it's an econobox. I don't consider a dodge aspen or austin princess to be a classic either.
then again, it's all a matter of perspective.
Chase Ramirez
did you eat her butt?
Luke Jenkins
Kek.
Also >bodycolor bumpers I don't know why, but this is always a boner killer for me.

Still buying these damn wheels though. Hnngh.
John Young
topkek.
and did you decide on whether or not you'll keep the big block?
Matthew Williams
I think I've settled on the idea that I'll only keep the bigblock if I can't find a buyer for it.
Gabriel Hall

Getting car ready for weekend/grocery duties. It will be the first time driving on the road in 6 years.
Cleaned the bottom to try to find a leak New oil and filter Topped up tranny fluid. Although it may need a new tranny depending on where the leak is coming from. New battery to replace dead one
To do list: New tires as they are dry rotted and cracked Transmission dipstick, no idea where it went Stock 4bbl air filter to be Cali smog legal. Drive it less than 1 mile round trip for some fresh gas. Although I read I should probably kill the old gas before I attempt to smog it.
Also, it was parked under a tree which gave it some nice shade. However, the tree sheds a ton of leaves and a bunch of them are now trapped under the windshield. Is it easy to unbolt that part, or do I need to remove the windshield to get it off?

Frame is looking pretty hilarious after hittin' that sweet jump last week, should have to body mounts shimmed up and the panels re-aligned by the end of the week.
Brody Torres
Noice man. Gotta love the classics and women. Like iron and magnets.
Nathaniel Anderson
>Mother was jokingly offended I didn't let her drive it. >"You never asked" >"You'd let me?" >"Ever drive an automatic?" >"No." >"Well you're about to." >... >"No there's no clutch, just press the brake. Etc." >... >"No stop trying to shift" >"No, you don't need to use your left foot" >"No it's not going to stall"
To be fair, It took me a few minutes to get used to as well.

Today is probably the second greatest day of my life because I saw a Plymouth Roadrunner in the flesh, and I live in New Zealand.
Wyatt Cooper
Actually it was a superbird
Hudson Young
they're pretty cool. road runner or superbird though?
William Lewis
Didn't see the front, but I did see the back in my rearview with the wing and the Roadrunner tail lights
Juan Harris
if it had the wing and the lights, it's probably a superbird or clone
>losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/5593569683.html seems a little high tbqh but it could be a cool project. love that column shift but I doubt it is that strong. that and the 2v intake and heads kind of blow but if you have the cash, it could make a killer hot rod.
Benjamin Martin
Got the front seat back in the Lincoln after work today. Just need a Neutral safety switch and a windshield, then I can get it inspected and on the road
Kevin Martin
I was thinking of making it my dd and modding it along the way. Might be able to talk him down
Nathan Mitchell
sounds good to me. I am sure if you show genuine passion and interest the thing will be yours.

dayuuummmmm, good to see someone else living the mopar or no car lifestyle
Julian Kelly
>>bodycolor bumpers >I don't know why, but this is always a boner killer for me.
IMO it depends on the car and color. Mopars seem to pull it off better in my opinion. May also be because although rare, it was actually a factory option on Mopars, so I'm more used to seeing in on them.
Looks like shit on that Chevy though.
Luis Rivera
The hood pins kill the boner

user keep hold of that car. I feel your california 305 pain but it will get better. I have had my fair share of g-bodies to know.
Jonathan Wood
It's a work in progress dude
It's actually a newly built 350 pushing out 420 to the crank with a turbohydro.
Jaxson Richardson
I thought you had the 305? Guess I'm trippin
Charles Kelly
>It's a work in progress dude I'm only teasing user
Cooper Garcia
I have a 305 in my firebird which probably has a blown head now. I turned it on for 5 minutes to move across the street so the sweeper wouldn't tow me and instantly smelled nasty shit in my exhaust. I parked it shut it off and looked under the hood to see coolant seeping out from under the left valve cover near the intake manifold and the manifold itself. I just closed the hood and walked away. Haven't looked at it since, that was like a week ago.

never heard of Macs before, maybe try searching them up on the Better Business Bureau
Idec about paint tbhfam, probably strip the paint and get maaco to spray it hot rod black. I got a 5.9 magnum from a dakota and a 727 I'm putting in it, and a 8.75 rear end with 3.9:1 diff. Should be done before summer?

Nolan Walker
I said that the new rims would be better that the old ones.
Carson Torres
Funny part is he'll be out at Carlisle for the whole weekend, while I'm going to the Greenwich Concours on Saturday and have my Land Rover at a British car show here in NJ on Sunday.
It all cars all of the time here in New Jersey.
Leo James
>shaved Did he keep the trunk lock cylinder in at least? The PO of mine fucking removed it and seamlessy covered it, so you can't open the trunk unless it's running, cause it's vacuum operated. And I thought for the longest time, 68s just didn't have trunk locks on them
Jason Rodriguez
>31 year old civic I dunno m8, as much of a classic as an old Falcon or other shitbox
John Mitchell
Are those factory front disks? Neat.
Always had a fetish for bagged Lincolns. 62-64 is best continental
Nicholas Cox
Yes those should be factory
Nathaniel Mitchell
Dank.
Jackson Green
Bagged is too low though. Give me my stock height and I'm happy
Christopher Anderson
The thing is, a Lincoln continental looks good no matter what. Literally impossible to fuck one up. Also, yours makes me kinda wet tbqhwyfam
Thomas Powell
Also, is it the picture or is it slightly lowered in the front? I love it
Leo Evans
Yes they are very nice. Mine's a work in progress right now. I'm keeping it as stock as I can
Jeremiah Murphy
Naw it isn't lowered
Brandon Diaz
MAC's is pretty good. They are basically the Classic Industries of the East Coast. MAC Antique Auto Parts is also the same as Eckler's.
I would highly recommend them for parts.
Ayden Campbell
I like it except for the wheels, but it's his car, not mine. Thumbs up.
Hudson Bailey
He's got remote poppers for everything, including the trunk. And a hidden wired in popper button, hidden on the car in case the battery in the remote goes dead.
Yes it's factory front discs in the front, and not factory discs in the rear. Original 460 engine and C6 trans in case anybody was wondering.
Gavin Rogers
Went to a small local car show today, gonna dump some pics.

That shit was years ahead of it's time. Boxy as shit car in the 60's when boxy cars only came into style in the 80s.
>driving my 79 camaro home from the gym >stop to get gas >run into friend from high school inside gas station, engage in chit chat and catching up >walking towards cars he sees mine and goes "Holy shit look at this beast!" >grin and walk over to driver door and open it >"No way user! This is yours?" >talk cars a little, turn it on an rev it. >he's creaming his pants >random boomer comes over and says something like "got yourself a 454 huh? Da big blawk chebby " >nope it's a 350 with some mods lol >boomers looks troubled and walks away >trade numbers with old friend >drove home smiling from ear to ear
Dam it feels good to drive something that is at least a little different than the standard acura/civic/altima/mustang/charger
