worst "I can do 9 year old level arithmetic" post ever

Daily Reminder that one is still in production

Saying that people like something isn't an argument for it's quality.

you can easily make 600 horses out of a coyote with some sick mawds

>v8 mustangs lmao

daily reminder that if the f20c made any torque it would have been in a race car, something the 5.0 can claim.

its an argument for demand and dare I say desirability

>the f20c was not in a racecar

you are a dumb nigger

>sour grapes.txt

what real race series was it in?

>Mustang is racecar

You have never seen a mustang racer user?

Yes, I thought so.

it won its class in the VLN and the 24H of nurburgring and it raced in the Super Endurance in Japan

You can pull it off with mods and keep it NA

cant be mad about boost

Daily reminder that my 5.0 makes 215 HP.

600 Hp is highly unreasonable, even for a Coyote.

>600 Hp is highly unreasonable, even for a Coyote.

see

torque

Daily reminder that if the F20C displaced as much as a Mustang it would make 600 horsepower.

Nice, but I feel like if you were going to do that you should have just bought a GT350....

OP here, nice.

> torque means i don't need to make more power

are you retarded?

F20C (and 4cyl 2 liters in general) make poor torque and the horses are only usable after 5000rpm

so what? it trades torque for rpm, nothing wrong with that, just a different use case.

> only usable after 5000rpm

So it has more than half a mustangs RPM range worth of powerband?

That flat plane engine is determined to disasemble the rest of the car around it. Once you go beyond a certain size, the flat plane is a detriment to any sort of longevity... too much vibration.

small displacement and high revving engines don't last long and have poor longevity, especially after tunes

daily remider: If grandma had balls, she'd be grandpa

Longevity has nothing to do with size or revs. Longevity is determined by the engineers that design the engines.

>i have never heard of motorcycles; the post

plenty of people are running F20/F22s with 200k+ miles

Torque is more comfy than the chinese turbocharged 2l lawn mowers that have to redline just to pull on a steeper driveway

Even when its slower than the previous gen v6?

Higher compression means higher wear rate.

Sure you can tune a V8 but at its cost of reliability. Eurocuck engines just don't have the same power/reliability that American or Japanese engines have

We need a janitor to clean up these bs threads

thats because you are a fatso and need turbodiesel levels of torque to pull your fatass around

WTF ?

>american engines
>power
>reliability

leave nigger

Joke's on you, I'm Euro with a 316i... or maybe the joke is still on me.

>Z06 (Z07)
So what it is?

meme'd on fag

BTFO!!!

>thinking you can out meme the meme king

>meme king
Did somebody say Alphonse?

>taped up intake

>turkey

mustang gt is $150k there

Z07 is a performance package on top of the Z06.

>Veeky Forums taking the bait

Is this why everyone on the other boards say this place is the worst?

>this place is the worst?
I can name you three boards that are MUCH worse than this.
/x/ /tv/ /r9k/
pick your poison

>implying anyone on other boards says that
Guess I just took your bait.

but it isnt

where is the tape?

Nah, this place is like 90% shitposts and dumbfucks taking obvious bait like this thread.

Maybe it's just the summer nig-nogs.

The s2000 was still very succesfull. And I still see plenty people wanting a new s2000 like s2000

fucking kekd. Yet the f20 is one of the most durable engines ever. The engine is probably one of the most masterpieced engines ever

If an ant was the size of a human, it could lift 4.5 tonnes over its head

thats not how it works

daily reminder: If I had a million dollars, I'd be a millionaire.

daily reminder: if OP killed himself, there'd be a lot less shitposting.

daily reminder: if the earth was flat, it would not be round.

explain how compression ratio affects wear pls

fat suit?

If the f20 had as much hp/L as an r1 it would have almost 400hp

daily reminder, your samefagging is obvious

nice

>maybe it's just the summer nig-nogs
I assure you, it isn't.

Hp/liter is the most ricer, obviously a fake enthusiast tier statement.

Daily reminder to literally ignore anyone who mentions that ratio as any form of argument if it merits a cars performance

and yet you responded to bait, and moved the thread back to the front page

>im mad my 8 liter v8 makes 180 hp

what we all read

Why doesn't anyone just engine swap hayabusa engine into a honda car?

You forgot /b/. That boards a sewer

are you that fucking retarded

The mustang has been racing for decades. So has Camaro. SCCA and more recently NASCAR nationwide series.

f20c may have more hp/liter, but the 5.0 has more liters.

Do you actually have no idea about Honda engines?

Must be why Ford is chasing revs and hp/litre with the Voodoo engine

well of course an engine that makes 2hp is reliable.

Daily reminder that a high HP/L ratio is the wrong way to go.

>can't tell if bait

bmw blow the fuck out
how will they ever recover

How long until facelifted S550 with aluminum body and Voodoo engine?

They won't.....

Why does the M3/4 even exist?

/thread

no you're right, this place as a whole is a piece of shit

HP/L doesn't scale accurately though. With bigger engines comes more internal friction and bigger pumping losses, while the available chemical energy applicable per displacement remains constant. A 50cc engine can make more hp/l than a 2 liter engine, which can make more hp/l than a 5L engine.

All that said, the Mustangs's stock 5.0 is lazy and understressed. 400hp is plenty for most people, but yes, it's not that efficient in terms of raw power output.

Longevity has a lot to do with size and engine rpm. Size and power can be too big for the internals to handle, and RPM has to be carefully selected as to not overwhelm the internals and valvetrain.

It is on the straight line.

>Longevity is determined by the beancounters
Internal component quality is harder to accomplish than it is to properly design an engine. T. Engineer

Chasing, but hardly succeeding. Power output of the Voodoo is still pathetic considering the development costs. The Modular design is holding it back.

cbr250rr disagrees
that said even 1300 cc bikes are not moving much and they don't see 20 k rpm

WHOAH

IF the 2.7L Toyota 2TR-FE had the same displacement as an 8.1L Vortec, it would make 483 HP

Really makes you think...

it would run too loaded at all times and would fail sooner rather than later.

>if the 2.7L 2TR-FE had the displacement of the 1,820L Wärtsilä-Sulzer RTA96-C if would produce
107,852 HP

motorbikes are rarely over 300 kg
where as you could call a car light when it gets near 600 kg or less
and under 400 kg is getting bordrline cycle car

most of the cars you think of as light will be 700 to 900 kg
granted most of that mass is the engine but with a heavy engine comes the frame to support it

this burden overcome with reduction gearing before the gear box
but that does not change that the engine is having to operate at a higher rpm on average than an engine relying more on nominal air flow

What, your 5.0 From the 80s or early 90s? During the times when the EPA cucked everyone who wanted to make big power with emissions. New 5.0s are able to make 600 easily.

>100 hp/l is considered pathetic
Damn thing doesn't even have direct injection

How high do Hondas rev? Oh yeah, between its 2k-5k power band. Idiot.

what are you talking about?

NSX fuel cutoff was at like 9250 rpm and it had a very broad torque curve
