With the trees, you have to open the wrapper just a little bit like snip the bottom corner of one side by 1/4 inch wide opening for each corner. Then one week later you can snip the top corners the same 1/4 inch. At the 2 week mark, you can cut the whole bottom off of the wrapper if you dare. It's not just to avoid the overpower, but to keep the freshening effect at a non-obnoxious level. One other GOOD plus is that the air freshener lasts longer this way too. If 1/4 inch is not a big enough hole for your insensitive nose (my nose is pretty delicate) then you can cut a bigger hole. By trial and error you will eventually discover the best way to use them without being overpowered.

I keep one around for street cred but I prever the little vent clip ones with liquid in them. There are Febreeze ones or "Essentials" some shit that last a couple months and aren't overpowering.

I don't have one to scan but could try and take a better pic if you really want it. I don't even know where those things came from, they just showed up in all the trucks like a year ago. Maybe fleet has a stack of them and I can steal one.

A lot of the vent-clip air fresheners have adjustable slide controls to control their intensity. I like the Febreze ones even if they are expensive. There are pretty cheap liquid type air fresheners in the dollar store. I don't mean the automotive section of the dollar store, but they also have air fresheners in the home cleaning section of those stores. There are some liquid ones with smells appropriate for a car. No need to buy expensive Febreze that lasts 30 days or less in the summer heat.

I also have about 100 Black Ice trees in a bag in my rear side compartment. I hang them from my tow hook to leave a trail of fresh.
