What's long enough? I'm sure you're accounting for the cost of electricity, but are you accounting for all the times you end up paying to charge because you're out and about and need to plug in? Are you accounting for average maintenance costs. Surely those batteries need replacing every five to seven years? I haven't looked into it, but I'd imagine it would be pretty hard to break even in less than 15 years vs your typical I4 commuter car.
