the two support heroes in every game are lucio and zen which both have an ult that completely neuters genji's
getting a good ulti with genji requires your team first baiting out the enemy support ults with some other shit.
often it's actually the genji ult that is used to force the zen ult or something so that the enemy team doesn't then have it against your team's blackhole or some shit

He needed nerfs, maybe not to this extent, but he was the only offense hero with which a skilled player could carry a game with solo.
His ult just did too much for how fast it charged.
He jumps into your team, disrupts everyone and easily takes down 3 squishies before he is dealt with. After which the rest of his team just rolls over you while there is little to no counterplay if your mcree misses his stun.

As someone with Genji as my second most played character, these changes are fine. The only "bad" thing they did was nerfing his ultimate duration and not the range per se. If they are going through with these changes, they should AT LEAST speed up his sword draw animation

no. you use only one of them when the enemy genji ults. you don't use both against just one genji ult, thats a huge coordination mistake and should never happen
my personal opinion is that generally zen ult should be the one that gets saved against genji but it's situational and sometimes lucio might have to do it
