ninja suffers from an obnoxious opener and no real new tier of offensive skills in hw, summoner suffers from relying too much on how good the party is and their limited mp, machinist has low potencies all around and encounters can mess it up very easily

both black mae and monk are easy to play and deal enormous damage on top of that
bard is just difficult to play and has low damage overall because it relies a lot on its cooldowns and those aren't always up

They really can't. They're a great job, but their utility weighs so much less when everyone else sucks. All I'm saying is in some cases, MNK can be better. Shade doesn't mean anything if your tank still pulls in tank stance, and TA isn't going to do much for the 3 digit DPS jobs that are DPS.

Yes, but everyone here likes to pretend every static is perfect and going to take full advantage of that. The reality is not every static is gonna have top tier players, so MNK is still ok.

Then you don't bring raid utility. Monks have high single target dps but that's it. With a good raid, ninjas are far more useful.
