HONDA A
SHIT
First for ABS and TC being beneficial for every rider

please show me where the honda touched you

Post pictures of your bike and things you'd change about it. I'll go first.

Wish the front brakes were stronger and the wheels were 17"

Suzuki's are rad. Rin a shit.

Ok

>day off
>beautiful weather
>no responsibilities all day
>parts to fix bike came in yesterday
>would have been fixed last night
>except the fucking mong behind the counter ordered me a master link for a kids dirt bike instead of a countershaft lock washer
>mfw nobie

dyel manlet

go

Riding across Italy on Sunday, do Italian police care about speeding?

Will that be all Father?

no but speedtraps do

bring you mother some lube

forza bro

18"?

Go make out with some dude.

Thanks, I'll load the GPS up with their locations. If I'm fast, I can beat the storms but they're going against my travelling direction.

16"

/dbt/ i'm scared my insurance is going to say my bikeu is total loss
tfw bike is part of the family
tfw spent every shekel into getting it running again
tfw do all the work on it
tfw ride it daily
tfw

so what? get a check and a salvage title (who cares) and fix it or get a shitbike

Just. Make. The. Heated. Grips. Get. Hot.

Man fuck compression suits. Such a pain in the ass to put on and take off.

wait if it's total loss could i get a salvage title?

I sold that to my roommate and got this one because it looks easier to get on and off and I'm a Dainese fanboy.

uh not sure actually. but you can get a rebuilt title i think..

go
sit
on
your
dildo

Yes. Just be sure to document thr state of the bike before you turned it over to them. Insurance mechanics have all the grace and sensitivity of an ISIS warlord alone with a 5 year old girl.

>honda can't even get a heating element right

My oxford heaterz get hot as fuck.

If it's a write off and you choose to buy it back from insurance it will have a salvage title and to register it you'll need to get a special inspection and pay a bunch more jewgold. If you repair it you can have the salvage title turned into a rebuilt title and your registration goes down.

I'm about 90% sure of the above.

yeah or parts only. good luck insuring it, it will be like tree fiddy

I wish the pegs were higher and the lights weren't so huge.

literally all the damge is in the front just headlight so do you guys think the'll deem it total loss?

They know how to do it, I've had OEM heated grips from them before but somewhere they thought interfacing it with the main cluster was more important than actually warming your hands. Definitely getting Oxfords on my Blade/S1000RR if the 2017 Fireblade turns out to be a disappointment.

I had one for enduro riding but it was just too cumbersome and I couldn't throw the bike around like I wanted to.
Plus it had the worlds cheapest zip that snagged on any piece of material it could find

Depends if the headstock is okay and if it's worth more to them as parts.

oh man, the stock pegs + feelers on the cbr500r are embarassing.

I scraped them VIOLENTLY doing a 90 degree turn off within the first 2 minutes of riding one (wasn't my bike) and it still had like 3/4 of an inch of chicken strips left.

That being said I know somebody who had full rearsets and clip ons and the ergos work quite well when you change both.

Factory heated grips on the s1000 do a pretty good job unless you're riding in subzero temperatures

The 500 isn't really a supersports, didn't the ergos tip you off?

in the past few days it's been short intense rains: it's usually a downpour but lasts only 30 mins, so you can try to find a shelter and wait for the storm to pass

like I said, this was just turning on an intersection. I wasn't trying to get my knee down, the stock pegs with the feelers on give it a cruiser like clearance.

Things don't need to be out and out sportbikes to have clearance.

I'd consider them on the BMW but I want to give Honda a chance on updating the Blade first. Besides, I won't have money for a second new bike until August next year (I want to pay in full).

Yeah they're painfully low, to the point that if you're on an off camber corner, you can scrape them when you're not even trying. Getting the pegs scraping on roundabouts is one thing, but when you're just riding along it's really off-putting.

It is only a commuter, but it does handle so well otherwise, the low pegs really do let it down.

everything looks good forks ect in the front and the frame isn't bent

Thanks. I have 2 jackets (vented and waterproof) with me and if it's warm enough I just air dry like I did in Germany.

The Leatt 5.5 in my first picture didn't get in my way at all, it was less cumbersome than the leather jacket I wear on the street.

Insurance companies are fickle bastards. I hope it works out well. Salvage might be cheaper in the long run.

Well I'm wearing summer gloves in winter and the heated grips on my bmw are keeping my hands toasty warm in like 8c riding temps plus wind.
Didn't even realise Honda had oem heated grips for its fireblade

The ones on my viffer were outstanding. It could be 2C and they'd still be uncomfortable on the highest setting below 130mph sustained.

>Had to let cbr600 sit for a month while out of country
>Get back
>Try to start
>Battery dead
>Try to roll start
>Doesn't start
>Have to push it back up hill
>Can't be fucked pushing it back up the hill again
>Old jumper leads are fucked
>Have to wait until tomorrow to get some new cables to jump it

I just wanna ride.

LMAO HONDUH

>tfw went hectic AF
>also went off roading
>clutch now makes noises when pressed

>mfw it was with the Punto
fuk

Can't you strip some heavy duty mains flex?

italian here
only those on the puntos and pandas do
>too bad they can't catch up
those with alfas will only harass you if you're going mach speed
>speed cameras do
too bad half have been torched and the other half are in places where speeding would most likely kill you anyway

i hope it doesnt come down to it but if it does ive been looking at some older cbs and and stuff

I ditched my leather jacket for a Kevlar weave hoodie for on road use. Even has foam inserts for shoulders and elbows if you want it.

I can't stand not having full mobility in my arms and torso. Drives me up the fucking wall

I'm on an Africa Twin heavily laden so I can't get above 125mph without speed wobble.

Get some D3O, it's cheap but you get the flexibility of foam with superior impact protection. I've crash tested it and it's also better than hard pads at stopping bone bruises.

max limit is posted 130 anyway
as long as you don't have a fairing you'll be fine
>went on the touge with a group
>they stopped my m8 on a r125, but let me go on the 750

Excellent, thanks Italian bro.

>got to ride early this morning when going to class
>get home and immediate starts raining
>hasn't stopped raining since
Worst part is this is the only time when it isn't unbearably hot

It's 3am, I just wanted a ride before bed.

It came with foam pad inserts but I'm not sure what quality they are. Probably shit.

Will look into these pads. Cheers for feedback

>D3O
What a coincidence

...

Are those joint pads or did you get the back protector too?

Nice. Thigh pads are too often overlooked. It took a year for the bone bruise on my right to stop hurting.

Hip pads for the Klim Dakar pants I ordered. Got knee pads coming too.

Enjoy, now you can lowside with impunity.

>filename

can i come visit your house dustin

>3 weeks of drought(Normally a very rainy state)
>Sudden mid to light rain
>Go out to bike to go home
>Like i'm walking on snow
>Put leg over bike and stand it upright
>Leg slips out from under me and bike lands on kickstand
>Can feel tires slip at every corner even at granny speeds
>Kick blade of foot across pavement at a red light
>Like ice
>Never rode in anything like this before
>Get home safe, put bike away
>Next morning when it's light out, notice a layer of muck all over fairing
Shit like that will scare the fuzz off your fishstick let me tell you.

You fucked up lmao

I squid and ride in skate shoes.
Do you hate me ?

You think you're the first person to dox my address? Absolutely adorable.

That's the idea. The two times I've gone down in recent memory the only thing I've hurt is my hip.

Fucking Actinobacteria.

i didnt expect to be the first but your house is a tiny piece of shit

The only incorrect footwear choice is flip flops. Everything else is fine

I rode in Vans today because I wanted to be comfortable, so not anymore than I hate myself

i got mad hate for wearing vans on a short ride. who knows man, do you.
go sit on your
dildo
I found a new 2013 Cbr250r ABS $3300 at a dealership, good deal?

no i can't be mad at squids if I am partially one

Cool i feel better now.

Just wear sightly large boots with decent insoles. Mine are like comfy wellies.

I'd say gloves are even more important than protective footwear. When I was working in a surgery I treated a guy who slipped at 10mph on an R125, it took 6 weeks for his palm skin to fully regrow and he lost a lot of dexterity, sensation and strength to the point he needed a tool to open a soda bottle or operate some taps.

nah hondas suck

that dash looks oddly familiar

I'm a beginner so why do I care?

us?
really bad
don't get abs

>have to move some shit from the attic
>we have so much fucking shit
>day 3..
>..running out of room...
>there's only a few more spots...
>behind my bike..
>the side of my bike..
>in front of my bike
>completely boxed in until attic floors are redone.
Well... it's been a nice summer

Just as TC and ABS teach you nothing about riding, owing a Honda teaches you nothing about repair work. I owned a Honda once, the damn thing started and rode just fine every single day. It was horrible.

I used to wear some Columbias for commuting but I'm looking for more dedicated riding boots.

>tfw have to choose between new boots or gloves
feels bad mane

>move bike to the front of the garage
>put shit the in front of it
>continue riding

Cheap work boots are an acceptable interim substitute.

get off your bike and throw it on top of the stuff in the garage

yamahurr life

yeah I put on gloves a while after that. usually I do at least gloves/helmet for a short ride.
>tfw it's like 95F daily now
I feel kinda spoiled, usually it's 100

I couldn't get it out of I tried that, I'd have to put shit next to it so I couldn't angle it out without hitting a wall or more shit. Definitely not leaving my bike outside where it rains every 2 days.

If I were the mountain myself, I would put my bike into my room.

I guess you'll have to put you baiku in your bed and sleep in the oven.

US, my instructor at the msf course says abs is great for commuting so I'm getting the abs. This is coming from a guy that tracks his R1 every weekend at Willow Springs.

Meh, it's a pretty average bike to be honest, you can probably find better for your money.

Why pay for a 300+ dollar system when normal brakes are just fine? I commute, and I handle my bike just fine without ABS.
