It would have to be one of the V6 models (pic related) or one of the later quad 4 models to be worth modifying.

You can't apply the early initialD formula to other countries. The underpowered, nimble car shitting on newer, more powerful machines gimmick really only works on mountain passes.

>his "country" doesn't have mountain roads

well this and weebs get too hung up saying the hero car needs to be rwd because drifting. which wasn't the point of the car in the first place.

It doesn't NEED to be RWD, just underpowered and well-balanced.

Where do you live, Holland? Do you think that Japan is the only country with mountains and roads?

> 240 HP at 11,000 rpm
>2072 lbs
>underpowered shitbox

why are people so misinformed

obviously

don't you meant, 6v mustang?

>chevy cavalier
>well balanced

Holy shit I've never been turned on by a corvair until now
>But not using a Dodge demon as the hero car

He said shitbox, not vaginabox

Thats what i said you would need to put an e36 320i stw engine in it and it would be dank german sausage deliverer.

a old 318(the 318ti if you want more accuracy assuming he could find one) if slow and nimble inst mandatory cobalt ss turbo, ms 3, the "hot hatch" version of the cavalier, neon srt4, miata and the good old si.
Any cheap "sport" car you manage to find in Canada

vaginas are useful tho, mustangs are fagboxes

>he doesn't know about the coupe

>Australia
>Hyundai Excel

and Kozo's car?
>Holden Commodore mild cam 304 pod filter

i'd watch it

FALCADOR

Has anyone got that picture someone drew of an Australian Initial D?

id watch it

Came here to post this, cheers

No.

Either this or pic related would be the cars used.

America
Corolla GTS

No.

>Literally nobody said foxbody mustang for America

Literally America's 86 1-555-comeonnow

>America
>V6 Foxbody

Unless that is an SN95, than does not exist. 79-93 Foxes were either I6 (early cars), I4, I4 Turbo, or V8

How about 555-realitycheck

>australia
>delivers for a bottle-o
>some shitbox holden ute

>America
>burger delivery
>geo metro

Not really. more likely to be a Cavalier or Sunfire with the Quad 4.

>anyone from America who didn't say the Neon ACR

Get your shit together Veeky Forums. The Cavalier was never anything but a hunk of shit and the foxbody is too obviously not a slow car because everyone is familiar with Mustangs.

Quad 4 powered Cavaliers were decent, but yea. A Neon ACR would be great.

Even better:
1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais Quad 442 W41
>yfw just over 200 were built
>literal homologation racing special just like the Neon ACR

Excellent choice, but potentially too obscure.

They continued the program into 1992-1993 with the Achieva SCX. same car, different styling.

What would Canada Takumi equivalent be?

>Tony (insert last name of known factory SCCA driver) lives in the Catskills mountains in New York with his dad helping to run the family pizza shop.
>Tony's dad suffers a back injury one day slipping on some tomato sauce. As a result of the injury, he can no longer lower himself into the company delivery car a (insert Olds W41 or Neon ACR here) to do the deliveries.
>Tony has to do the deliveries into town in this old American rustbox" as he calls it, in 30 minutes or less... but to make the deliveries, he has to drive down the mountain.
>he eventually develops the driving skills needed to master the downhill, and manages to destroy a Honda S2000 on the downhill one day while making deliveries
>cue entry into street racing
>Tny eventually finds out the delivery car he uses is a retired SCCA race car when he finds the mounts for the roll cage hidden under the carpet.

Civic Si, it's the most popular shitbox around

Acura EL with a B20Vtec swap or a K20A2 swap depending on generation.

And of course Bunta would drive a RS Cosworth

In Brazil, Takumi probably would be driving an Chevrolet Chevette Hatch with an aftermarket cup holder, the water cup would be replaced by cocnut water.

>Finland
>Pic related

I thought it was supposed to be well balanced, I've driven an old Elantra before so i'd assume it would handle just a shit :P

There is literally a photoshoped pic of a 240 in initial d somewhere on Veeky Forums

USA

If we're doing this thread right you have to match the culture since the Japanese culture was so ingrained in D.

Probably a Fox mustang. The 4.9 liter in it is severely lacking power now a days. Bunta would have a GNX. Takumi would be a parts runner for Napa. I'm trying to figure out what Ryosuke and Keisuke would have. I'm thinking something like an E46 and E90 respectively.

And after reading through this I realized I have autism but it's okay.

Isn't Dukes of Hazzard the American Initial D?

Actually I agree. I'd also say that since this is the states, there would also be quarter-mile drags and highway runs, mainly to match the fact that we're more into speed and most of our roads are highways.

Also I was so thinking someone should be driving a GNX.

Timur drives his Lada across the Urals every night delivering sausages from his dad's slaughterhouse to the two star hotel on the other side. His comrade Ivan drives an inferior Polish copy of Lada and hopes to join the local racing soviet, the Aкинa Speed Stars. Under the tutelage of Commisar Roman Tokarev, the fastest driver of glorious GAZ Chaika, Timur will become the best speed limit violator in all USSR.

No one said it needed to be a 6 cylinder.
And a lx notch with a 5.0 was cheap in the 80s

A 5.0?

>Norway
Probably this or an Opel Monza/Manta

both those cars have a decent amount of horsepower, not underpowered like the geo

Mexico
Taco Delivery
either a Nissan Tsuru (sentra if you're a burger), or a hardbody truck

Jaguar E-type

Fucking hate this car.

I would kill my sisters children for one of these. I'de kill my own if I had any.

Because a nip spec 4A-GE gets 130HP

canada

AE86 were exported and sold in the US so probably that.

A Volvo 940 obviously.

>Brazil
>Chevette Hatch

Kek

I would watch this. Dont forget the chick in Gaz 21 with front grill swap from Pobeda.

This or the 125.

>Romania
>Golf 4

And instead of Nakazato's R32, he would have a Dodge Stealth. Shingu's bubble is a Fiesta, itsuki buys a notchback, but it's got the v6 in it. Anyone got any others? I feel like someone needs am srt 4.

In Canada it would be a shitty 2 door pickup with several hundred thousand kms and you know it

>not rwd
>talk about drifting
What's next? You're that kid who's gonna tell everyone he does burn out in his Honda Civic, right?

I'd watch any anime revolving around a Camaro.
I don't care how bad it is.
You don't understand how much I love the Camaro.

The engine swap midway through the series is an SRT-4

why? its objectively good. its heritage speaks for itself.

you have no idea how fucking obsessed i am with these things.

ive been looking for over a year and im seriously considering importing one just because.

theyre so fucking cute.

Where are you from? I have sporty one in my workshop.

but it was also considered fast. An AE86 was never considered fast. try again.

and the Geo was made in Japan by Suzuki. try again.

and people still considered them slow.

or another W41 Quad 4, but with the GM Performance Parts supercharger kit thrown that it.

This would be it. Winter makes this car ebin++.

Takumi would drive a geo prizm gsi

"Hold mah tofu-water and watch this."

Would depend on where in the US it was meant to be. If it was in the midwest, the show would revolve a lot more around races on abandoned farm or level-B service roads. I could see Takumi driving an SN-95 (or maybe a Camaro) in that scenario. There really aren't any twisty mountain roads in the Midwest.

did the artist just put a BMW roundel in a car he made up himself

the fuck is that supposed to be

see:

Vancouver, Canada.

Want a help br/o/?

USSR huh? What about the 90s-00s? Well, ricers here basically use the same cars used in Initial D, all Japanese imports.

You guys are peachy fuckin' keen. I like these ideas a bunch.

I would watch the hel out of this trash heap.

Excuse me, you seem to have forgotten the best option.
