There is no reason not to help out on the final boss(es) of phase 1. The random mobs that spawn in prior to them you want to tag and try to do as much damage as you can while still touching everything.

It's the only spec that even feels like a Warcraft mage to me. So, I either play arcane and get bored with the play style or play f/f and get bored with the feeling.
