Sup Veeky Forums. I recently inherited a 67 Mustang, now I dont care for old cars at all so I am kind of annoyed my grandfather didnt just leave me money. Anyway my friends dad knows I dont want the car and he offered me a fully loaded BRZ plus a thousand cash for the car. Is this a good deal? The BRZ only has 800 miles on it and he bought it new, I really like the car and think it looks cool.

This thread is useless without more information. What condition is the Mustang in? What engine/transmission? Fastback? Matching numbers? Old Mustangs go from $500 to $50,000 or even higher so it's hard to know if you're getting screwed or not.

Why dont you just look up how much the car is worth whatever condition yours is, and then decide what you want to do.

Do it, the BRZ will appreciate in price indefinitely while the older the mustang gets the lower in value it will become.

If you're going to hang on to the mustang, I'd keep it as close to factory as I could. The more a car has been pissed on the less it's worth for resale.

7 grand- 5.0 foxbody, 4.6 2v (99-04), 4.6 4v 96-98)

10 grand- mach 1 4v, 4.6 4v(03-04), 99 and 01 cobra 4v.


8-14 grand- 05-09 mustang gt,3v 4.6. 2011+ v6, 3.7 v6, makes surprising HP.

15k+ Termis and 5.0 coyotes, 4vs, 360-430 whp with exhaust and tune. Different motors, I know cause i have a 03 cobra. Just saying, they are in the same price range. You'd probably like the newer looking car, so 2011 and up. Get a 40-80k mile one, put exhaust and a tune/intake on it, keep it forever with 5k mile oil changes of full synthetic 5w-30.

the notchback as arent worth as the convertables and fastbacks are. even though they use 90% the same parts.
plus that needs a lot of reassembly and some of the parts may be missing or broken by now and because you arent into classic mustangs you wont know how to put it back together correctly.

forget classic mini because, it will need maintenance. and you arent a car guy.
