where wiki go

...

You'll have to ask the guy from /vr/ that actually runs it. He's just been kind enough to let us host our wiki on the same server as the Game Tech Wiki.

Shit, do we even have a backup of the wiki? What if it's gone forever?
Are we going to be forced to go back to using that wikia trash?

I find myself longing for those halcyon days when turtle was still with us.

I back it up once a month. I'm sure it'll be back online soon enough though.

...

What is Turtle Emu? Google gives me nothing.

Welcome to your first ever /emugen/, you're gonna love it

>What is Turtle Emu?

Vaporware, he probably never even started working on it.

>Google gives me nothing.

Google gave me this youtube.com/watch?v=U3YjUhLQ8-Y

I know who Turtle is
What is Turtle Emu
Is it like a fake company or something
Or an actual emulator

ONLY HE KNOWS

Are emulators art?

well, you can't spell ReTroArch with out an a,r or t.

Yes

How well do Yakuza 1 and 2 work in an emulator?

On one hand, they run at a decent speed. On the other hand, the post-processing doesn't like higher resolutions, so you'll need to turn them off or deal with BLOOM OUT THE ASS AND BLUR FILTERSSSSS

>Turtle Emu: Emulation done right

The greatest emulator ever, to rival Higan, MAME, and RetroArch. In Progress of course. A project of that size can't be done over night. And Derek "Turtle" Roe, needs to wait for his Dev Machine to really put development into high gear.

Retroarch is starting to look pretty slick. Am I a cuck for using it?

i actually just laughed out loud

Naw. I've been using it for four years and I'm definitely not a "cuck".

>Reddit thought Turtle was an N64 dev because he said so

He is

>Get PSP android emu, get iso, get hyped to play
>It runs like ass
>Crashes before the first fight

>Can't find an apk for the android version of the game
CRAWLING IN MY SKIN

If any one has any leads on FFT:WOTL for android lemme know.

Does mupen64 libretro usually crash when trying to run smash

what game. what phone? did you mess with the settings?

Turtle is waiting for the right time to release his master project.

I'm thinking 1. the tablet is kind of shitty and that this may be the problem or 2. running an emu on android

IT'S FUCKING DEAD JIM

github.com/reicast/reicast-emulator/branches

fuck this shit I'm returning my shitty ass shield tv

OK....Who let the Crawling Chaos out of its cage again?

Work fine in software mode but many effects are fucked in hardware mode because of postprocessing.
You could try the OpenGL plugin with its GS blending.

If I buy a sega saturn controller and use a converter for PC, is it possible to get xinput support?

>my legitimate bug I found in RA that was submitted, has not received a comment for like 4 days

why did I even bother?

What's the bug?

github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/3392

i feel your pain. That's why i recommend standalone emus for a few systems.

I would, but I like RA a lot and I just want to make it better by submitting tickets

I'm going to remember this every time some guy on emugen tells me to submit a bug report rather than talking about it on emugen

Probably because no one can reproduce it because they don't have bluetooth headsets.

I know I can't and I don't feel like buying a bluetooth headset. I tried unplugging my headphones instead but I guess that doesn't count because that did nothing.

>have headphones as default device
>run RA
>remove headphones and default device switches to speakers

do the audio switch as well like it should?

OK in the last thread we were talking about Famiclones, and I was wondering, why the fuck don't hipsters buy an actual fucking NES? They're only like 40-60 dollars. Fuckin retarded.

>why the fuck do/don't hipsters...
Because they're faggots.

It doesn't switch immediately with xaudio, but does with dinput and sdl2.

Forcing a driver reinit (i.e. toggling fullscreen) makes it switch under xaudio.

I believe that, but I play mostly windowed, I believe this is not follow the design philosophy behind RA and it should be fixed

Indeed, or actual N64's?

turtle has talent, but has hit hard times. He needs his Dev Machine before he can get going.

sorry to ask, but the wiki is down.
is there any actual XBOX classic emulation?
i wanna play Ninja Gaiden.

Nope, nothing playable.

thank god persona 5 is coming out on ps3, now i have a better chance of playing it in the maybe near future

>near

I like the sharp-bilinear shader, judgme me.

Nah
the reason is most games on there are multiplats and it doesn't have the massive userbase of the ps2 or the first party nintendo games of the gamecube
>tfw no jsrf

i like it too

it's developing pretty fast isn't it? not as fast as xenia but it's gettin there

depends, we would be arguing semantics

my issue was finally commented on, perhaps this will be fixed

It's a limitation of the DirectX version of XAudio2

stackoverflow.com/questions/35600946/why-oncriticalerror-is-called-in-directx-version-of-xaudio2

so should I use a different audio driver?

I just switched to SDL2 and it works as expect with no crashes so i will probably use it for now on

what are the differences honestly? I only uses xaudio because it was the default setting

where do you goys get your saturn dumps?
Emuparadise is full of alcohol images instead of bin/cue format.

tried rutracker?

Minor differences in audio handling, they are all layers over WASAPI.

Are the ones on it good dumps?

if they are redumps yeah

archive.org/details/SgaStrnCmplt

I wasnt aware of this, forget what I said, use this

Does anyone know how to set controls in this version of MAME? I need to use it as it is the only version that can run Mushihime-sama Futari

controller mapping tab

So PCSX2 1.4 comes with a zip of the widescreen patches. Do I have to extract the ones I want to use into a cheat_ws folder or can I leave 'em in the zip?

you need to extract em

It's kinda what I figured but I never could see it explicitly spelled out. Thanks, bruv

is it possible to run pcsx2 on linux without crackling audio?

No but you can play it in HD on ps3.
I think i got em off rutracker.
They've all worked fine so far.

Looks like it's time to use the completely uninformative and inactive emugen wikia! Yay!

Hopefully someone gets us a real status update on this shit soon.

mednafen 0.9.39.1 released, BTW.

>implying anyone here uses mednafen standalone and don't just rely on libretro cores

It's fine

I like a bit more sharpness though

Shut the fuck up, faggot.

Emugen newfag here, is higan good for SNES or is retroarch better? I just want to play snes games without inaccuracies (which is why i gave up on my RPi)

Retroarch has two zip files, 2016-07-17_RetroArch.7z and RetroArch.7z

The latter is bigger, so do I download that?

The latter has all the nedded .dlls, download that for a first install.

I think for your first installation get Retroarch.7z, and then (date)_Retroarch.7z are just for replacing files when you update

Alright, which snes core do i use? there's BSnes, Snes9x, and Mednafen

bsnes

>bsnes accuracy
>bsnes balanced
>bsnes mercury accuracy
>bsnes mercury balanced
wut

Can you use your brain and use the wiki? holy fuck dude

The wiki is down you retard.
I selected accuracy and the sound lagged out. I'll just keep testing.

works for me

What the fuck are you talking about? I'm pretty sure there are no N64 clones.

Stay away from higan if you value your sanity. Standalone bsnes was pretty good, but when byuu changed everything about the frontend to higan he fucked almost everything up other than the emulation itself.
RetroArch is miles better, but it can take some getting used to since it's a completely different beast. It really not that complex or hard, it's just different than what you're likely used to.

I'm used to ZSNES, so everything is different.

On another note, I managed to get my games audio to stop fucking up by disabling something in the video settings.

Mercury balanced

That's something only a cuck would say
