Didn't that thing blow up after the test or some shit?

did it

>Small
>Efficient
>American made engine

choose one.

Because other countries usually make engines that actually work.

This

>butthurt euro-peons

Do you have a smaller more efficient engine to show the class anons

Japanese and European "Small" engines are behemoths by comparison.

seems to work just fine desu

Every engine design currently in use in modern automobiles was invented in Germany.

I'm not seeing a smaller more efficient engine user

Also the Electric engine is scottish or hungarian.

The Wankel engine was invented in Germany, this however is not a Wankel engine, and was invented in Connecticut

You made a miniature wankel engine. Congratulations .

It is derived from a wankel design tho

It's a rotary engine sure, just a good one.

Unlike the wankel

I'm worried about those tiny apex baby-seals

It doesn't have any as far as I'm aware.

>no apex seals

HAH

GET READY TO REPLACE THE WHOLE fUCKING ENGINE YOU RETARDS

The V8 was invented by the french

And perfected by the Americans.

You are both retards

Aus does a pretty good job too.

V8 is nothing more than 8 otto cycle engines stuck together

>tfw no pocket wankel

...

>German design
>Developed by Japanese company
>American

>OHV designed by Buick
>SOHC invented by Marr/Craig
>DOHC invented by Peugeot

here we go

It's neither of those things

>40 kg
>400 hp

Burgers can't compete

...

Wankel was invented by Germany, Mazda were pretty the only company to give it a chance. Americans had absolutely no part in the development of the rotary.

As if the position of cam shafts was a new design, it's merely an improvement.

The X mini isn't a wankel.

If it was produced in Germany why do people call it a "Wankel" instead of a "Vahnkel"?

Because Americans cannot into German pronounciation.

Jeremy Clarkson called it a "Wankel" on Top Gear

>Because most English speakers cannot into German pronounciation.
ftfm

If Mazda produces them in Japan, do they call them Wankers?

>lolnotorque

>have to rev to the moon with a 747-size turbine to make any power

>efficient

yeah... nah

kek

Damn son thats a big ass engine

It isn't a wankel you tard

Mazda had literally no influence on the developement of the x mini

is it just me or this REALLY just one of those

>solar roadways
>self filling water bottle (Peltier effect)
>underwater breathing gill

too good to be true, bullshit, headline catching, detail-less "scientific" breakthroughs?

How I wish people would be more scientifically literate ...

>1993 Nissan 180sx
>2.0L turbocharged 4 cylinder

>1993 Ford Foxbody
>5.0L V8

and both made the same HP, way to go USA

just like in 1980 GM said that rotary engines were the future and by 1995 85% of cars on the road would have rotary engines? USA spews alot of shit

Push both to 400hp on the same budget and see which one lasts

> I'll take "what is a torque curve" for 200 Alex.

>company builds mini engine
>it is small, so US army wants it
>it's a tiny rotary with no gaskets or emission control system, so emissions are terrible
>it's US Army, who buys it so nobody cares about emissions, they can get it anyway
>engine never makes it to civilian market because nobody ever bothered to make it pass the emission rules
>Army is okay with that because it has the best toys now.

>he needs to live 23 (twenty three) years in the past to deal with current american superiority

I pocket wank all the time.

>american engines

tip top kek

Is he the red headed annoying one or the black guy?

you know
an engine weight is more than just the block/rotor

Yropoor/Weeb Definitions:

>Small
Strictly pertains to displacement of engine
>Efficient
Strictly pertains to horsepower in relation to displacement

American Definitions:
>Small
Pertains to overall size and weight of engine
>Efficient
Pertains to power generated in relation to fuel consumption

>17 seconds down the quarter mile with 700 horses

opinion discarded

and where in the rev range does it develop this 400hp?

Because anyone can build a 500 hp, 50 CI engine if it revs to 500,000,000 RPM.

best v8s are still french

>they actually replied
>one even mumbbled "muh torq"
kek

you are a retard

care to explain or are you sticking with your original comment?

because you are a retard

stop being a retard and try again

ok.

But tell me more as to why i'm a retard

Because every other country in the world is inferior

i wouldn't know where to start

>Fully dressed engine weighs less than 500 lbs
>Makes more like 800 horses with single digit boost and a stock bottom end
>Still makes 25mpg

Y u mad tho?

Start with the biggest reason.

>700hp
>17 seconds

*still makes 25mpg at 2000rpm in 0.7 sixth gear out of boost

>500,000,000 RPM.

That guy on the bottom can barely even talk today. He literally crushed one of his vertibrae to take that pic

>pushrods; not even once

>what is exaggeration

something retards with no arguments use?

Yes that's how overdrive gears work.

Bromaro on fire as usual

What was the original argument again?

Being so fucking retarded that you think small and efficient are mutually exclusive

>2 valve 6 liter engine
>efficient
seems legit

so why do you guys compare 5 year old Cobalt SS track times to 25 year old R32 GTR Skyline times?

Damn is this true? Fuck

just put in perspective how slow the r32 gtr is

>best v8s are still french
There's barely if any french V8 though. Definitely not in production, biggest engine french still produce probably is a 2 liter 4 cylinder. And maybe a 3 liter V6 for racing purposes.

>Not a wankel
Tell that to the patent lawyers

> does no research and knows nothing
> claims to know how the engine works

Seriously?

>retarded weebs think mazda owns the wankel design
>dont realize a german firm licensed it to them

did you really think "wankel" sounded japanese?

400 on a stock 5.0 block? not gonna last long

400hp on a stock 2.0l i4 isn't going to last long either.

Maybe not 400 but they make around 300 at the wheels without issues. That's around 350-360 at the crank. Probably about the same limit as the shitty 5.0

you are a retard

you are also a retard
