So, +10 is the max for a normal weapon, right? Which limits your invasions.

How do the weapons that only go up to +5 work? Do they also limit your invasion range?

What's the +5 to +10 ratio? Is there one? Or will a +5 unique count as a +5 normal?

Every upgrade on a unique counts as 2 for a normal. So +1 translates to +2, +2 translates to +4, etc etc

I think there is no bigger proof of how broken straight swords range is than the greatwood boss.

You know that eggs in the back? I'm yet to find any moveset that isn't the ss r1 that can hit them. Not even that are very high like over head slams can hit it, but the ss r1 can, even if it's a forward slash.

It's just a shitty boss in general. It's actually worse than Wolnir. At least you can damage Wolnir, he just has very high resistance, but it's not impossible. Greatwood on other hand is pure "hit the weakpoints" cancer.

To be honest, even the Duke's Dear Freja did the concept better than Greatswood.
Greatwood's one of the worst bosses in the game, it's simply not up to the standards of design and production quality as the rest of DaS3. Even compared to the average DaS2 boss it underperforms.

It has all the worst characteristics of a boss

1. A zoning move out that makes you unable to do anything but wait for it to end (the buttslam)
2. Infinite spawning adds
3. Invulnerable everywhere but weakpoints
4. Convoluted hitboxes
