The "going beyond death" thing is obviously meant to be a reference to DaS2's advertising, but it can also symbolise his knights that turned into dragons. Dragons existed in a world without life or death, so becoming one could be called "going beyond death".

Miyazaki went into an autistic frenzy whenever they tried implementing something from dark souls 2 so instead of taking the best from both games and learning from mistakes they ended up with REMEMBER DARK SOULS 1 LMAO with no poise and bloodborne enemies.

What would you think if equip load determined your roll cost? So if you were at 69.9% you'd still have the same iframes but it would cost like ~2 times more unless you were at 40-50% or something
