Things go as normal for the most part during the war. Mackenzie King supports the British war effort as he did in the original timeline, though since the war seems increasingly hopeless he ignores the pleas of English Canada and decides not to enact any type of consciption, but it doesn't make a difference since Britain surrenders very soon after. Despite this, Mackenzie King is still recognised to have done a good job leading the war effort, and he wins the 1945 election (although very slightly) and remains in power until his historical retirement in 1948. He's succeeded (as in our timeline) by Louis St. Laurent.

Since the UK lost the war and the US remains isolationist, St. Laurent decides to pursue a more autonomist position of being allied to the United States and seeing Canada confine itself more or less exclusively to the American continent, and avoid foreign interventions. He enjoys the support of Maurice Duplessis' Quebec government and of French Canadians in general.

Now, contrary to St. Laurent's vision of a Canada that is more or less independent of Britain and free to act on its own, Adrien Arcand is released from prison and resumes activity in politics, managing to win a seat in parliament with the Unity Party. Contrary to St. Laurent's isolationism, Arcand wants to have strong ties to Fascist Britain and adopt Fascist policies in Canada. As well, (like in real life) Arcand is a huge admirer of Adolf Hitler and the success of the Reich. Because of his strong pro-British stance, he enjoys massive support in Anglo Canada. Arcand's building of strong ties with Germany worries some Americans, since it might grant the Reich a staging ground for future expansion.

Other than that, it sound interesting to give the player some choices, I'll consider adding it. I was thinking, since the UK isn't actually fascist, they just surrender and keep the royal family and all of that, and lose most of their colonies. At some point, Mussolini can make a coup or something, and get rid of his King, and then after some years, the economy crashes, and they can move away from Germany, and try to ally the UK, maybe Spain and Portugal too. Then, they can form their own little faction, to defend themselves from Germany. Canada also should have a bigger navy and all of that, since the US is going to be isolationist at the start of the game.

Canada actually had the fourth-largest navy at the end of WWII (after the US, the UK and Japan if I remember right) so it's historical too
